D & S Sewer Service

Sean and Scott were amazing! We had a bathtub that would drain, a sink that made the toilet bubble, and a toilet on the other side of the house that sounded like the Kaskaskia River. They showed up early, explained the problems, and provided extra information about how to help the lines in the future. Great service, great price!

D & S showed up on time, on budget, and work was done promptly. Been over a year, and no problems.

We called just after noon and he was here around 1p. Very prompt! He was very professional and got several clogs out of our pipe. He even gave us good advice concerning our garbage disposal and usage of liquid pipe cleaners (which he said not to use again.) The cost was very reasonable, also.

We experienced an in-house sewer drainage pipe blockage.  D &S came to our house within a few hours of our call and investigated the source of the blockage and promptly cleared it.  They were very professional, friendly and efficient.  (We had not used D &S previously; however when we experienced the pipe blockage, we called a plumber we trust, from the Tuscola Home Center, and he recommended we call D & S for the blockage problem.........a very good recommendation.)

They came in time as they said they would, looked at the problem, checked all the options and fixed it using a plunger. They initially said it would cost $100 but they charged me $60 for a job I was quoted $2,500 by another company.

Darren came out promptly and on time to clean out a sewer line in the basement that had become flooded after the flash flood and rain Urbana received over the weekend. Even though many sewer service companies were putting people on a waiting list, Darren was very understanding and came out as soon as my tenant was available. He completed the job quickly and charged me a fair price.

It was a family affair - a guy with his son and nephew. They listed to the symptoms, took me to the outdoor access point and showed me how to tell if the clog were between the house and this point or between this point and the street, asked permission to pull their van over to the access point and did the job. They checked to see if everything worked afterward. They were very friendly - noticed my fireplace and chatted about what kind of wood is best to use.

They came out the same day I called and checked our septic tanks to see if they were full since we were unable to flush any of our toilets and the tub wouldn't drain. They discovered that the pipe between the house and first tank had bowed and pulled loose from the house. Went ahead and pumped out both tanks and the area around the broken pipe so we could at least use it for toilets and such until they could come out and fix it. They came back out on Friday to repair. They were very efficient, professional, and even added an easy check cap so we won't have to dig up the tanks every time we want to check them. Being in between a rock and a hard place, as we had to have it fixed as quickly as possible, they could have gouged us, but the repair was $675 and pumping out our 2 tanks was $280.
The only B they got was on Monday said they'd be here in 2 hours and it was more like 4 and on Friday said 9-9:30 and was after 11, but I'll take that any day! I will highly recommend them to anyone.

I've worked with them. They are good. They are memorable. They haven't had to do any repeat work. They did a good work. They do sewer lines, so this was just something that they did. They were a fun company to do it. They were around my property. I didn't directly pay them, but they were working and talked to them and it's been a while, but they worked really good. They do brag about really low prices. I don't know if they are just trying to advertise to people or what. They listen. When they are working they are working. They dress well. They are very professional.

Great experience

THey put in about 150 feet of pipe and hooked it up to a sewer main.
Even after the city didn't properly locate the city tap, they still
worked and found it on their own at no additional cost.
Was the lowest of 3 bids by a fair margin (others were 4,000, then 2870). Did a
fantastic job and communicated the whole way. They're sure to try to
save you as much money as possible.
Highly recommend them to ANYONE needed a sewer line repaired or put in.

Terrific. We'd made the mistake of first going to Roto-Rooter which gave us an estimate far higher than the one we got from Gordon at Cand S. This was a big job, both in replacing the blocked sewer line and in pouring in new concrete for a segment of the sidewalk and the driveway. Gordon was wonderful to work with, and everything now looks and works great.

They were excellent. I am not sure what other prices were but I think somebody else was higher. The quality of the work was excellent. They came out right away.

Our basement flooded badly. We could not use the sink/dishwasher/ washing machine, etc. We called Dand S at 7:30 on a Saturday morning. They were at our house at 8:20. They explained the problem, cleared the drain, did not make a mess. And the gentleman had a cheery disposition, which was a huge plus. Professional, prompt, and gave good advice for the future. Would use again and highly recommend.

I'm very happy with the service and the price. They will have to return when there is no snow or ice on the roof to unblock the stack.

This small business is Super! They came to the house quickly, provided excellent service for a great price, were friendly and professional. I'd recommend them to anyone who has need of a sewer/septic service. I was concerned about the experience level of the franchise companies, these guys have many many years of experience in real world sewer work, this guy's been in sewers for 30 years! Still smells OK too!

This was a great visit. I had used Dand S before in the past, and for the price, they cannot be beat. For $85 flat they came out (2 technicians) to clear roots from my pipe out to the house. They also told me they do flat-fee clearing of drains, both inside and out, and their prices are the lowest in the C/U area. They were prompt, coming to the house a half hour after I called (I think I was just lucky they were free!), and the drain was cleared out and running not 20 minutes later. I cannot say enough good things about Dand S! Their only advertising is by word of mouth. "Done reasonable, done right!" is their motto.
