Country arbors insisted that we pay them to install a new irrigation system for the new plants, which we did at no small expense. We had already installed a fairly nice system with multiple timers, etc. at our own expense the year prior, but they insisted it be redone by their professionals and we figured in for a penny, in for a pound, if the professionals have a better way to do it let's trust them.
On the day of the work, without any consultation they just buried a few soaker lines in areas that were far away from our water lines and left. We were pretty shocked by the trivial "irrigation system" they had installed, which was completely unusable because nothing had been hooked up to our water lines.
When we called them back to ask them to come meet with us and fix the issues (at least run hoses to our water lines), i had one of the most shockingly unprofessional conversations i have had with a contractor in 7 years of dealing with them for the condominium. Donna Cultra was rude, angry, and in general just irritated that we were bothering here with these (what we felt were very minor requests) on a $5,000 job.
Honestly i was flabbergasted because i felt we had been quite misled and overcharged for the whole deluxe irrigation system they had promissed, but we just gave up having that addressed and merely were asking them to run hoses and splitters to tie their new hoses into the timers that we had bought and configured. It took several phone calls and emails literally arguing with Donna Cultra and Country Arbors about who was to blame and why they didn't want to come out and add a hose. For a $5,000 dollar job. I have never dealt with a shop so disinterested in doing an hours worth of work on a large job to make a customer happy.
In the end we did manage to argue our way into having them angrily come by and do more arguing with us and put in 2 hoses (but no splitters and never bothered to connect them). Their soaker hoses leaked because they never put washers on them -- which of course they would have noticed if they had even bothered to turn them on once and test them -- and we had to go purchase new splitters to connect them in. But we just gave up trying to get Country Arbors to make things right because they were so incredibly unpleasant and unhelpful to deal with.
In summary -- I can't speak to the quality of their plants and flowers, but I would strongly discourage anyone from hiring them to do landscaping work if you expect them to be professional and leave you happy. And whatever you do do not let them bully you into paying them to install an irrigation system!
Very unpleasant and unprofessional.
