I had paid for half of the job up front.  He purchased all of the materials and had half of my home re-sided.  Richard came over and asked for another $1500 to finish the rest of the job.  I gave him the $1500 and he came back that night to load all of his tools up.  I never saw him again after that night.  I have given his information to the building and zoning commission of Granite City, IL.  They sent him a formal letter letting him know he is in breech of contract!  I have to send a formal letter letting him know that he is fired so I can hire someone else to finish the job!  I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy!
