I first met Raymond during his day job -- providing furniture delivery service for IKEA -- and he impressed my wife and I with his industriousness and attitude; while chatting, he mentioned that he was starting a side business doing furniture assembly. After doing most of the easier assembly for a that order myself, I called Raymond to take care of the remaining items: Two MALM dressers -- exceptionally fiddly and tedious to assemble -- and a pair of floor lamps with integrated shelving.
He arrived somewhat late, but compensated for this by calling ahead and giving notice, and going to some effort to find much less expensive parking than we had previously known existed in our neighborhood. Moreover, whereas we'd negotiated pricing with the expectation that this was a one-person job, he brought along a trainee (his younger brother) at no extra charge.
Raymond was polite, friendly and industrious; he mentioned his intent to expand into kitchen renovations, and we're keeping a copy of his card around for the point in time when we're ready to make improvements there.
