CABINETS COUNTERTOPS & MORE

Had Mark Wurst who owns Cabinets, Countertops & More replace our Countertops and do some plumbing work. The project took much longer than expected. Often Mr. Wurst would make a promise to have the countertops installed and time and time again it would be delayed. After finally have the work done, we noticed significant router scratches on the countertop. He came back to attempt to fix and only made it worse. We also had a significant leak from the kitchen sink into our basement. He came back to fix but said it was not his fault (he didn’t charge for it). Months later we noticed the backsplash separating, after a year, the countertop cracked all the way through. We noticed the underlayment was completely inadequate. Also the countertop was lifting up in several areas. We reached out to Mr. Wurst. He promised to come out but never did. We finally had to get an Attorney and demanded payment. He ignored the demand. We filed a small claims suit. We ended up in court and refused to negotiate in arbitration. We finally went to trial in December of 2018. The judge agreed completely with me and Mr. Wurst was ordered to make payment to fix the problems. I had to have two other contractors make fixes to his work. One contractor said verbally and in writing this was the worst countertop install he has ever seen. I sent a payment demand letter to Mr. Wurst. He refuses to own up to his shoddy workmanship and refuses to take responsibility. We are taking further action including a lien on his property. Please do yourself a favor and do not work with this man or company. You will regret it. We sure did.
