B & W TREE SVC

3 years ago, King Tree said they'd take out a large tree at the back of my property. Brian told me they'd call 2 days before the work. They didn't call until I had contractors ready to dig and pour my basement. In a panic, I called Bill Birky at B & W. They did the work the next day for less than King and cleaned up really nicely later. On 8/2/2017, Bill and his team took out 2 large trees on my property. Again, great team, didn't damage anything on my property (fence, sprinklers, landscaping) and got the job done in one day. Laid down boards to roll in equipment, and after grinding out stumps, put in some good potting soil. Good, professional job. Cost was $2200--less than another tree service quoted me. Great crew. I'd trust Bill Birky any day.

B & W Tree Services was great. They arrived within about a week of calling to give me an estimate. After they gave us the estimate on site, they were here two days later to do the removal! They did an excellent job, cleaned up perfectly, and were very professional.

I spent about $10000. It went really good. They clean up after themselves, they're quite good an they did work that nobody wanted to bid on.

Three, very respectful and knowledgeable men arrived within a half hour of the pre-appointment call. Their arrival was within a couple of minutes of the proposed arrival time. I like that. The entire time, except for a couple of well-deserved breaks, they were either cutting the branches off and prepping the trunks for take-down, or they were hauling away tree parts. I had the windows open, and worked from home. Not once did I hear a foul word or anything but professionalism. They even went a pre-determined step further and cut back a birch, to help with roof involvement. When the trees themselves were gone they shaved off the stumps. Except for the soil that was left, there is no indication that there were trees there. Safety issues averted. Then they talked to my husband and me about not replanting for two years, to allow for decomposition of roots. Apparently, the general rule is that for the amount of tree above the soil, that is the amount of root decomposition you should allow for. I like a company that educates it's customers.
If I had one "concern", it would be that after the initial call, and for 1 follow up call, I had to wait for responses. But, in their defense-in the initial call, I made to them, I did stipulate that, while the situation could not wait till next season, this was not an emergency. The follow-up call was made on Monday. We already had plans made they would come in to do the job this week. So, really if I could give them a B+ I would, on responsiveness.
Two of the men were young. They were professional and very nice-something that is somewhat lacking in other service sectors, when speaking of younger people. So, that was a wonderful plus. The older man was just as nice, and Bill, the owner, that came out to look at the job, and estimate it, was personable as well. I was also told what it would cost, and there were no upcharges the day of service. All in...everyone involved were truly gentlemen. Customer service at the highest level.
We have a "go to" board that business cards get put up on, when the company becomes our trusted advisor. This card is getting glued on.

They were great. Everything was really good. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Worked during the hottest summer in years, delayed a couple of times due to extreme heat. Checked in several times to assure I was satisfied. Even filled large impressions with top soil to help level out the yard. Most impressed with Bill, and sons, good crew as well.
