I've used Goldy Locks in the past to have extra keys made or find a difficult to locate key blank for a copy. They've always been professional and very efficient, so I called them to rekey two locks for a front and back door. When I called I was given the choice of that same day or the next. Chris showed up on time and got the job done quickly. And he was friendly as well as efficient! Will definitely use Goldy Locks again!

My guest bedroom was locked from inside the room. I tried but failed to get the door open. I researched locksmiths in my area on Angie’s List. Goldy Locks was the only company that contacted me after filling out the Angie’s List request for service. I received a call from them first thing in the morning after completing my off hours online service request. The office staff was friendly and informed me of pricing plus gave me a window for a same day service call. The service man arrived within the agreed upon timeframe. He was also friendly and went beyond the normal lock opening to adjust the door I was having issues with. I am very impressed Goldy Locks and their professionalism. Need a locksmith? I would difinitely recommend Goldy Locks!

Service was as expected. Locksmith was professional and courteous. The price was on the low to middle-range of what was suggested through Angie's List. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Replaced deadbolt lock. The service was fine and he just so happened to have the replacement lock that was needed. I just got the impression that the workman wanted to be elsewhere and was in a hurry. I asked him and the other person I spoke to on the phone to give me an estimate on my door leading to the garage. I needed a deadbolt lock on that one also. I asked a couple of times but he went out to his truck to write out the receipt. I can't complain about the workmanship, but I felt ignored as if he had someplace else he'd rather be.

They just took twenty seconds to fix it but I thought they were ridiculously high. They were very prompt and they were here in no time. The guy was certainly nice enough but I thought it was a lot of money for probably half a mile distance they came. They were good at what they did but I don't think it was difficult.

They came right away, did a good job and saved some money for me as well. I had a mix up and I had called them out, they couldn't do them that day so they didn't charge me, came and fixed them another day.

This is my wife's report: Me and my 2 year old got locked out from our house earlier today, October 6, 2009. One of the house key was in my purse inside the house, and the other was with my husband who was out of state, and scheduled to go back in the evening. I called Goldy Locks to open the door for us, which was part of their service. They installed all our door knobs and provided the keys when we moved in to the house several months ago. Their service man arrived 20 minutes later and asked for identification. I gave him my drivers license and he asked for other identification with our new address on it. My purse was inside the house and my wallet with all my other ID cards are in there too. He asked if I have mails with my name and address. I ran to the mailbox and got the mails. I showed him a mail from our insurance provider bearing our name and address and even opened the correspondence in front of him. It was raining and cold, I'm pregnant and have my 2 year old just standing in the cold breezeway outside the door, with loads of grocery lined up. Since he asked for the mail and I showed it to him, I thought he will be able to help us then. He said he still wont be able to do that, showing no sympathy. What was the point of asking for it if it wont be acknowledged anyway. I'm a petite pregnant woman and told him if he wants he can just open the door, then I'll grab all bills on the kitchen table which is just arm's length from the door. He's stocky, tall and obviously well able to overpower me in case I do something undesirable. I understand the fact that he needed 'proof of ownership', which was unfortunately all locked inside the house. Obviously, I could not show more than what I have at that time since 'we were locked out'. He was such in a hurry to leave, did not even bother to finish calling his supervisor to see if they can do anything, and wasn't apologetic at all that he can not help. He just left me who's very much pregnant and my little boy there, out in the cold, to fend for ourselves. Although I understand that he was bound to follow protocols, I expected Goldy Locks to have handled the situation with tact, professionalism and a little of human sympathy. Me, my family of 2 generations, and our business have done business with their company for years. Sympathy aside (since they dont seem to have any), they could have exerted more effort to help and provide better customer service, such as: - verifying my identity through their records. They installed our new home's door knobs, and therefore have both our old and new address. - calling our business number. I showed him documents from our business and they could have cross-reference my identity with those. They also have years of information about our business and our identities. - call the police as witness. They could sign a waiver of liability, which is usual on instances such as this. They could open the door with the police escorting me. Then, I could have showed them whatever documents they want to see. They didnt go out of their way to lend a hand. I just wanted to get my little boy inside the house because of the bad weather. Since Goldy Locks just let us there, without even suggesting or offering alternative course of aciton, I was left with no option but try and break in. Despite of being pregnant, I squeezed myself in one of the open windows and landed on high ground since the window is built couple of feet from the floor. I wanted to move fast since I was worried leaving our little boy alone. They have put two people at risk, plus the one I'm carrying. All these could have been avoided if only they made true to their 'commitment to provide exceptional service', especially at a time when we needed it at the most. I hope none of their families and kids will ever be put in this situation. We will never do business with this company ever again.

They responded by sending someone the same day that I called. He was punctual and explained the options I had. I had moved into a new home and didn't have keys to fit all of the doors and was concerned about security. He worked quickly and had all 4 doors done in an hour.

He made calls for 12 hours for us and he did not charge us anything. If he had gotten the manufacturer then we would have had to give him $15. He was a good guy.
