Great!

It went well. A problem at first on one side of an upper cabinet and trim. This piece was to attach on the side to join two upper cabinets without a seam. It was the wrong color and missing side trim. They ordered it and installed at no cost even though my contractor installed the main cabinets. They wanted to be sure all was right.

Once the cabinets were order and arrived the demolition began. The workers installed plastic throughout the area to help keep down the amount of dust spreading to other parts of the house. Fortunately I was at work so I did not have to listen to the destruction. All flooring, appliances and cabinets were removed and taken off sight. Drywall was removed to allow for relocation of electrical in the ceiling and walls. Once all layout changes were made, I have a split level, the kitchen layout was a U-shape counter area with soffits above the cabinets, this was replaced with an island, cook top, built-in oven and cabinets to the ceiling, the drywall was installed and painted. Then the oak flooring was installed, stained and first seal coated. Finally the cabinets were installed, granite counter tops and appliances. The process went very smooth. Each step followed in sequence without delays. The different trades worked closely to make the change over happen quickly and with as little inconvenience as possible. They were always courteous, friendly and respected the home they were working in. I have one more major project planned in the future, my master bath, and would not hesitate to allow the crew back into my home. If you expect high end professional work this is the company you should choose.

We received three estimates for the renovation of our kitchen.  While pricing was similar among all three companies, we were impressed immediately by Ken Speelman and his staff.  He knew we were getting other estimates, but never downgraded anyone else's work or pressured us to make a decision.  He offered many suggestions that we didn't even think of, and he never became impatient  no matter how many times we changed our minds on the layout.  He simply provided us with new drawings each time we made changes until we finally decided what we wanted.  He gave us a date for the demolition and we were pleasantly surprised when they actually showed up exactly when they said.  All of the workers were very professional and pleasant, which made going through construction that much easier.  Ken stopped by often to see how things were progressing and we were happy to see that he was a "hands on" boss-getting right in there and doing some of the work himself.  We would not hesitate to use their services again!!!  It was a GREAT experience and we LOVE our new kitchen!

Overall, our experience with Chicago Cabinet Company was an excellent experience. Throughout our project, we had a wonderful experience working with contractors, managers, and staff members.
Chicago Cabinet Company was very patient with us throughout the whole decision-making process. It did take us a long time to finally decide on cabinet colors, tile colors, accessories, etc. Staff members gave us suggestions on material and decisions to start making early on in the process, which was extremely helpful when remodeling an entire kitchen. The staff was also very helpful with showing us samples of material and letting us take material home to see what it would look like in our home. Even better than allowing us to take the material home, they did not rush us to make a decision once we looked at a few samples. They were genuinely concerned with us making the correct decision for our home. They let us check out material for days at a time, if needed.
Throughout the construction process, Chicago Cabinet Company was very polite and courteous to us and treated our home as if it were their own. They made sure to keep mess to a minimum and walk on sheets, which showed an overall care and concern for our home. Also, while the projects were going on, the workers did an excellent job of explaining and answering any questions that we had about what they were doing or why they were doing it. Everyone was honest with their answers and explanations, which was very refreshing after working with many different contractors. The project manager actually gave us his cell phone to call whenever we had questions. He welcomed off-hour and weekend calls whenever we had questions, comments, or concerns about our project. After the project had started, we realized that we had forgotten items that we had wanted to include into our project. Chicago Cabinet Company was very accommodating to whatever additions or changes we wanted to make to our project.
The finished product was amazing. We have had nothing but compliments about the work done, and the materials chosen. All of the cabinets look beautiful and the countertops look stunning. We asked Chicago Cabinet Comapany to replace some edging in the bathrooms, and they did a wonderful job matching the staining color of the edging for the remainder of our house. Our house now looks like a brand new house. We love the work that we had done, and we definitely recommend Chicago Cabinet Company for anyone doing any home remodeling projects.

After meeting Ken Speelman, the general contractor, the design for new bathroom was created at Chicago Cabinet Company.  The master bathroom turned out so well that we decided to continue our home remodel on the main level of our home.  Ken and his team treated our home with respect and made our remodeling experience a "pain free" one.  We felt very comfortable having them in our home and would absolutely hire them again in a heartbeat.  Our "new home" is beautiful!  We have also referred them to family and friends who have hired them and are as thrilled as we are with the results.

From start to finish it was easy and comfortable to communicate with them.  They worked around our schedules -  we had a wedding and they were able to start after that and complete the project before the next event we had going on.  They were quick and I was only without a sink for a short time.  They were very careful to clean up after themselves each evening so I did not have a mess when they left.

Our employees work long hours during tax season and often eat three meals a day at work.  We knew we needed a fully functional kitchen.  We have a built-in refrigerator and dishwasher, coffee service area, large pantry, lots of storage space and decoratice shelving for everyone's coffee cups.  We decided on a beautiful rich cherry wood and patina hardware; the office kitchen feels more like a home kitchen than an office space.
Chicago Cabinet Company worked with us to design built-in desks for each individual office.  The quality of the built-ins gives each office a comfortable and classy look.  We chose cherry storage cabinets for the restrooms to complete the total look of the office.
I would recommend Chicago Cabinet Company for anyone looking to update or design cabinetry for their home office.  The staff at Chicago Cabinet Company is very knowledgeable.  They had some great ideas when we were choosing finishes, hardware and they helped us get the best value for our dollar.  I was pleasantly surprised when they actually installed our cabinets on the days when they told us they would be installed.  It was a definite plus to find a company that followed through with the promised delivery date.  I would definitely recommend Chicago Cabinet Company.
