But his worker that came to install when i was not there, TOOK AWAY MY GOLD NEVER USED drinking water FAUCET, and also the spare in the lower cabinet, that had a broken handle AND the water system.
How in the world could they feel right removing my faucet. I would never keep their system...they put a silver faucet that hits the shutters and looks terrible with the gold moen faucets in the kitchen....how dare they? They did not have my permission to take my previous filter and faucets! The faucet was a gift and I KNOW it was custom ordered and at least 50 if not 100 dollars. I am outraged. They told the tenant when he called them because I asked where my faucets were....to pick up the faucet, I said what about the 2nd faucet? When I called the place myself and talked to the owner, she said, oh we pulled the faucet, I said what about the one from under the cabinet that is missing and what about MY WHOLE WATER SYSTEM AND FILTER!. She said the tenant would have been asked if it should be thrown away. Shouldn't they ask the OWNER Of the house what they throw away? Shouldn't they even have a signature to even install such a system? I am so outraged I am afraid I had to hang up on the woman. She said, oh I'm sure it went in the garbage. I might have a heart attack if they return the broken handled one.
ALSO, last but certainly not least, that water has been tested and has over regulation level of ammonia in it as does the water the next farm over (Kane County water testing). The owner said, I have a call into the EPA about that.
Later, the tenant said, oh you must be wrong. I said I have reports to prove it, what---- they cannot find a way to fix it? I am not surprised, because no water system I have ever read about in the store, says that it takes out ammonia, I do not understand it, there is cancer all around here...and I refuse to drink the water after having cancer myself, and my Mom battled cancer more than 12 years before she died. A holistic leader told me to never drink out of plastic.........you see hardly anyone delivers in glass bottles and this system seem to be plastic as well. Lines to the ice maker, etc.
In answer to their erroneous letter they sent:"I am _outraged_ at the letter I received from you, from Soft Water City dated 7/11/-2011The part owner did NOT discuss removing my faucet. He just walked around and looked at my basement things, There was NO discussion of my gold faucet (that was new).
My system was NOT amway. The filter alone cost $100 to refill. The part owner NEVER SAID THERE WAS anything that would remove ammonia. He said he had a call into the EPA. The tenants, after install, said, we will have to ask them, they have not answered the ammonia issue.I am outraged."
"At a new tenant’s request, I performed a free evaluation of the existing water conditioner and current drinking water system. I arrived and met the tenants as well as the member, the owner of the property. I tested the raw well water for iron, hardness and odors. I additionally tested the water thru the 2005 model water conditioner to find it working adequately. Upon investigation, I found in current use a simple Amway brand carbon filter that was hooked to the sink to a typical gold faucet. The spring assembly on the faucet was worn and the age of the current filter was questionable. The new tenants wanted the dissolved solids out of the water as well as an assurance of pesticide, herbicide and bacteria removal. At that point I offered the only option of reverse osmosis to remove these contaminants. Furthermore, the owner had indicated her concerns with Ammonium in the water to which I only knew a reverse osmosis system could remove. While I was still here, the tenant asked if the existing system could be removed and our reverse osmosis system be installed. The member approved the installation while I personally described how we would use the existing hole from the old faucet and remove the system under the sink. At that point in the conversation a homeowner has the opportunity to ask to keep the old system. We are not dissimilar from an appliance company. A courtesy is to not only disconnect but dispose of the old equipment. Rarely, are we additionally asked to keep the old systems in the home, but in this case we were not asked. Please keep in mind; in over 39 years of business with over 4,000 local leasing customers and thousands of customers that own our products, we have never been on a list such as this. If I had any indication that this simple Amway filter and faucets had any value to the homeowner; they would have been left there. Sincerely, Chris Puentes Vice- President"
