The exterior trim repairs were substandard and not done in a professional manner. In cases where deteriorating wood needed to be replaced, instead of replacing the entire piece the worker cut a section out and attempted to fit a replacement in the open space. In a number of these repairs the replacement piece was not the correct material or did not fit properly and excess caulk was used to fill the difference. This type of repair leads to two issues, it leaves the repair with additional and unnecessary joints which increases the risk of water infiltration and failure. It also looks bad, which a coat of paint can't hide.
The owner of the firm did not inspect the finished work, and has not returned calls or emails.
As this company is the primary Marvin Windows Repair company I would discourage anyone from buying Marvin windows. Anderson Window on the other hand does not charge to do estimates and has the repairs done within a month.
Joel's company was the only one that said it was possible to fix my situation. The prior window was leaking water and became deformed / slightly bent. We ordered a new custom Marvin window with a wood interior and a aluminum evergreen exterior. Took about 6 weeks lead time. The new window fits perfect and we no longer have water intrusion. The new Marivn window also turns 180 degrees, so we are able to clean the exterior glass.
a sliding glass door. I struggled to locate a provider willing to do this work. After spending an hour plus on Angie's List and Yelp and making phone calls, I was not successful in finding anyone. After seeing anadvertisement for this Company in my Google search, I was skeptical, but called. The owner (Joel) explained we were outside of their normal service area, and I volunteered to pay a mileage surcharge. After communicating what I thought our issue was via email, the owner promptlyfollowed up with an estimate/invoice that I printed, signed, scanned and emailed back. He confirmed receipt and said that he'd follow up to schedule
us shortly. Within a week, he scheduled us. He and an employee came out within the half and hour time frame promised (this is a HUGE help to me as a mom with little ones taking naps/in activities, etc.) and successfully fixedour door. He reduced the original quote of $250 to $170 because they did not use replacement parts. I have never had someone charge me less
than quoted. Joel and his employee were pleasant, professional, and courteous (wore shoe covers in my home without being asked). We would utilize this company again.
"Thank you Jane for the positive feedback, and the opportunity to help you out. -Joel"
