I e-mailed them a request for proposal and tried to be as explicit as possible on what I needed. I made sure to include any restrictions, the address, my phone number, and included an attachment of a preliminary design, and what the design would entail. I got an e-mail back from one of their sales people, and they asked what the local restriction for sq ft on the building. I answered him back that I didn?t have any info about the city?s restrictions, but we do have the restrictions from the landlord. He said we had to get the info from the city regarding restrictions before he could get an estimate. I?m not sure why he wouldn?t be aware of the information, or have the ability to find that information on his own. I went to the city website and found a form for application to put in an outdoor sign, and sent him the web address. I also let him know that they were far behind the other sign company, and would need to step up their game. When I contact a contractor, I expect them know how to do the job, be aware of the requirements, and the forms or permits required in order to do that work. I don?t want to be chasing down all these forms and regulations when I?m hiring another company to do the work. He sends me an e-mail back saying he doesn?t need or have time to be in a bidding war. Best of luck! I?m surprised that he was still such a large business, considering how rude he was. I feel like he was doing a disservice to the small businesses out there, and I wish he'd called at least once instead of e-mailing back and forth. I had high hopes for them because of all the little extras they offer in addition to signage, but they were so bad about doing the preliminary work that I'm disinclined to use them at all, period. I will go elsewhere.
Description of Work: I reached out to them to get a bid on a sign for a new business.
