"It was our pleasure working for you folks. Thank you!"
"Customer was given an estimate on 9/03/2014 for a light tree trimming. This included specific small branches to be trimmed away from one specific window and this was clearly written in the proposal. During the proposal he pointed out that he had gotten various estimates and that he was still waiting on one company, but that he would be willing to sign the proposal and give a down payment to keep a time slot in our schedule due to no one calling him back. We informed him that we had a crew in the area and we would contact him prior to the work being done as we had recently had a windstorm in the area and we were doing emergency work.We told him it might be at the minimum two to three weeks all contingent on any inclement weather as this required manual climbing of this tree. He agreed and confirmed that this was not an emergency and he was willing to wait and provided the check ($50.00) deposit. We contacted him one week later to advise that due to the inclement weather we would have to extend the work order for a few more weeks and he agreed. On the week of 9/22/2014 we contacted him to schedule the work for 10/10/2014 at 9am. My crew gets there and they asked to confirm the areas that were to be trimmed, and the customer knowingly took advantage of this and demanded that all large trunks be removed leaving the tree completely unbalanced. When my sales rep showed up to confirm the work had been completed, He did not yell at the customer; he has to speak loud due to the machines and the hearing protection that he wears on the job site. He just ordered the climber to stop as the customer was asking him to trim more of the the tree and this was not part of the proposal. At this point the customer advised he wanted a quote for the tree to be completely removed, that it should not be that much more because we had already taken down most of it. We gave him the price and he got very irritable and declined. We thank him for his business, cleaned the area, asked for payment, and left the property. We have very reasonable prices and strive to provide excellent service. We are deeply sorry of[ member name removed ] misunderstanding's."
"Monday August 5, 2014 We deeply value our relationship with our customers and are committed to providing them with the highest level of service simply because our customers deserve the very best. We offered to replace the tree at no cost to the customer waiving our contractual agreement of ½ price one year one time replacement warrantee as a onetime courtesy. However due to the unavailability of this 12’ lilac tree the customer refused to accept this . Per our contract with this customer we clearly state that all elements of our agreement are contingent upon ( delays beyond our control). The specific tree height (12’) that Mr. & Mrs. [member name removed] requested was unavailable at the time and we did need more time for this tree to become available. When we asked for more time for this replacement, They refused to work with us any further. We tried in good faith to resolve this issue with Mr. & Mrs. [member name removed]. We have written contracts with our customers that clearly explain what is covered and our conditions. The customer was advised verbally and in writing not to over water the trees ( we did install sod in this location and the customer was watering using a commercially available sprinkler , taking this into consideration we advised to water for 30 to 40 min making sure not to over water or under water and also to exercise caution on rainy days) . The cost of each lilac 12’ height tree was $487.00 delivered and installed with one year ½ price warrantee. Due to the nature of this business we do not offer refunds for any labor and materials that has been started and completed this is clearly written in our contractual agreement. We will take every effort to resolve any issue immediately and we did. Due to adding additional work, extra plants, and one extra tree at this clients home, we needed time to acquire the extra materials. This was advised to the client beforehand, we called to confirm that we did in fact have the materials on hand to complete the work the following day. I have attached before and after pictures if this clients residence. One can clearly see that these trees are healthy and we did in fact plant the trees correctly to our planting guidelines.
