Have been using A-Advent Applince for over ten years. Professional, courteous and efficient can’t recommend his work highly enough. Tony has probably fixed every appliance in my house at least once. His honesty and good nature make him a pleasure to work with. Always manages to fix the problem and find a solution. Pricing is reasonable and he always lets me know if it would be better to purchase a new appliance rather than do the repair.

Tony responded quickly, diagnosed immediately, and fixed the problem. He had the required parts on his truck. Fix took about a half hour. Dryer works perfectly. Tony is the owner of this small company and knows his stuff--very knowledgeable and responsive. His charge was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend his company to others.

Things went well. Arrived after a phone call letting me know he was on the way.
Couldn't diagnose electric oven because there was no model no. sticker.

Tony and I talked and we set up a day for him to come out and diagnose the problem with our dishwasher. The panel would not respond when we wanted to start the washer. He came out on a Friday, spent about 45 minutes diagnosing the problem and ordered a new part from his phone at that time. On Monday, he called indicating the part was delivered and we set an appointment for him to come out the next day. In less than an hour the machine was up and running. What I really liked was that he ran the washer through a series of tests to make sure everything worked properly. All in all, it was a great experience. Definitely would use his services again!

I washed a huge load of towels and threw them in my dryer and to my horror the dryer would not start. This was at 8:00 in the morning. I called A-Advent and to my surprise Tony answered my call (no answering machine). He was at my house by 8:30 and my dryer was fixed by 10:30! And the towels were all dry and folded by noon. I would definitely hire him again.

Tony was able to respond to my request for service the same day. He offered to call me 30 min before he would be over so I didn't have to wait at home all day and he was on time and professional. When he realized he had to order a part he ordered it asap on a Friday and I had my new water pump installed by Monday afternoon.

About one month ago the serviceman (Tony) checked my tenant's dryer which had not been getting the clothes dry in a timely manner . When he came to repair it, he ran the dryer, it was heating just as it should, and he could not find anything wrong with it. He charged me for the service call and told me to call him if things changed. He even called me a week later to check on the status of the dryer. Over this past weekend my tenant reported that the dryer was not heating up at all. I called Tony on Monday am, he was able to schedule service that day, he found the problem right away and replaced the parts that had gone bad, and did not charge me for the 2nd service service call. The parts replaced are warrentied for one year.

Charged $179 (including service call charge) for replacing oven ignitor.
The price seemed to be higher than average, especially given that the home was pretty close to his location (5.7 miles, 14 minutes drive).
Quality:
Did the job. Said he provides one year warranty for parts and labor.
Responsiveness and Punctuality:
Calling him always went to voice mail.
He would call back after an hour or two.
Plus: Worked on Saturday.
Con: Could only give a range of time as to when he would arrive, like 9a-12noon, so you would have to stay home throughout that time.

I asked him how much does an ignitor cost? He told me a new ignitor (Electrolux 530393506 is the one used) costs $70. I told him isn't it more like $15? He said "No way it is $15!". A quick Google search gave a price range from $13 to $25.
Was a little brusque and impatient with a take it or leave it attitude. He also got annoyed when I tried to watch what he was doing to replace the ignitor, and spoke loudly, "I can't work if you are watching like that." I asked him why not, and he could not give an answer. He was just removing some screws and nuts at the time.

"It's unfortunate that {removed member name} feels the way he does about the service. I will go over each of his issues. 1- His claim that repair pricing should be in conjunction with location of customer's home is discriminating! All my customers are charged the same price for repairs. No one is penalized for how far or close they live. 2- The reason why his calls went to voice mail is, Mr Chang was using an out of state phone number. With all the daily soliciting calls I receive, a call with an outside state area code goes to voice mail. I'm sure everyone can appreciate the fact of not being bothered by solicitors. 3- Offering {removed name} a window of 3 hours for service is in my opinion excellent service. You can not predict if a call will take 15 min. or 2 hours, that's why I need a window of time to operate. 4- The manufacturer"s price on the part is $65.23 + tax. That information is directly from Electrolux. {removed name} claim of online pricing is from generic and after market vendor"s pricing of lessor quality parts. I only install original high quality parts from the manufacturer. {removed name} proceeded for the next several minutes to haggle in price, I kept explaining to him that pricing is not negotiable. 5- I proceeded to fix the oven. I was kneeling in front of the stove working behind the storage drawer when {removed name} knelt down no more than 1 foot away from me, he was literally on top of me. I told {removed name} he could watch if he moved back. 6- In closing, {removed name} expectations were not realistic. I pride myself on giving all my customers the service that I would like to receive. My record and reviews should speak for them self. I go to great lengths on keeping my company's reputation excellent. It has been my lively hood for the last 25 years. 5-"

Dryer stopped working late yesterday evening. Called for help this morning. Tony immediately answered my call, we set up an appointment for later this morning and he showed up on time and fixed it as promised. All done within hours. Well done.

Tony anticipated what was broken and stopped on the way here in order to get the part. When he first installed the fan it turned in the wrong direction. He disassembled the motor and assembled it the right way.
There is no way I could have fixed the refrigerator myself even though I fix most things myself. (I am an engineer.)

Even with snowstorms and freezing weather Tony was willing to accomodate my renter and get there on a Saturday to fix the oven. He was professional and experienced.
