As well as always being informed the quality of the work was top notch with attention to the little details. We did a very detailed natural stone shower and the layout was excellent!
Finally as we were running short on time Sherwood went well above and beyond working 12 and 14 hour days to complete our project due to a strict deadline that we had and also worked more hours than budgeted without charging us to complete the project. when does that ever happen?

"The services purchased by this client were for our lowest service package on Store Front which is $200.00 for four hours of services. The amount of work that needed to be done far exceeded the purchased time. Also, the URGENCY in which this client would have NEEDED the project started, which was right away, did not match our service schedule. We try to not waist our prospective clients time or money. In this case, after a phone conversation with the client, we felt like we would not be able to service this clients needs in their budget or time period. We informed this client to contact Angie's List for a FULL REFUND of their purchase, and to be placed in contact with a service provider who would be better suited for their immediate needs. We suggest to all future and current clients, that when applicable, you should contact any and all service providers far before you start a project for a smooth project schedule."
A while back we looked into having our tub replaced. The tub fit well for the bathroom but we didn't like the color of it. We thought our only option was a full replacement. We had heard of Sherwood from a few different friends and they all had good experiences with him. We decided to give him a call for an estimate on the project. He quickly saw that we really didn't want to replace the tub and offered us a tub refacing. We hadn't heard of this before and were skeptical of it. He assured us of the strength of the product and offered us a five year warranty! He also told us we can expect the finish to last much much longer with proper care.
He informed us that some tubs from manufacturers
only come with a one year warranty. I hadn't known
this before. So far we have followed his
cleaning instructions to the letter and I can say that it
has held up now for three years and looks just as good as
the when he first refinished it.

Swanson Construction is located quite a distance from my residence, but Mr. Swanson made as many trips necessary to inspect the job, write/explain the contract, and complete the job.
Mr. Sherwood Swanson single handedly completed the project. He is very professional, but at the same time cordial, respectful of your space, and approachable. He did all tasks expediently according to the difficulty of the task. The backsplash required a lot of time, creativity, and intricate detail and Mr. Swanson nailed it! I was required to purchase some materials and he ensured I knew what to purchase and my options. He even took a shopping trip with me for backsplash tile, because I had no clue and was unsuccessful on my own. He ensures you are aware of what he is doing, where he is in completion of the project, and he explains/ educates about unfamiliar tasks. He is flexible and will work with you to complete the task(s) as well as implement your ideas within your budget.
I have been showing off my backsplash since completion. I have and will continue to recommend him to family and friends.

"We do not do roofing or roofing repairs "in house" because we are not certified roofers. We do have an extensive network of certified contractors that we refer in these exact instances. I do not have control of the other contractors pricings. I did let this home owner know that fair market cost of a roofing repair, of the size he had, would be more than double the ( Contractor for 4hrs= $200.00) that he had purchased. I also explained that Angie's List would happily reimburse him the cost of his purchase and they would also help him to find the right category of contractor for his needs."
I experienced no problems: they were easy to deal with and professional.
