"Hi [Member Name Removed], As you may surmise, parts are nearly always the least expensive part of our work. Our skilled technician labor and company overhead in the form of office and warehouse personnel, insurance, buildings, and IT are where most of our costs come from. In reviewing this job, it appears you didn't have an isolation valve that enable the shutting off of water to this specific spigot. In order to replace it, our plumber was required to shut and drain down your entire home, which adds quite a bit of time to this repair. In addition to the spigot, I do see we also installed in an isolation valve with this spigot, so you can shut off this spigot on its own now. For your job, our system shows the technician was on site for 2 hours and 44 minutes. With travel, total time for your repair is closer to 3 hours and 15 minutes. The only [Member Information Removed] a professional, licensed and insured company like Mendel with our level of warranties can do this quantity of work for much less is to cut corners somewhere in their business.
