Joel is a friend and former classmate of one of my children. He has worked in construction for over 10 years. The last couple of years he has gone out on his own and started a roofing company. I wanted to give him a chance to bid a roofing job for my Real Estate office. I called. Joel came when he said he would and gave me a bid. He asked for 1/2 the money up front to purchase supplies and when he finished and I was satisfied, I paid him the rest. He told me what he was going to do, how long it would take and how he would perform the job. He showed up when he said he was going to show, he had a crew and they got the job done 1/2 day early. He left no mess! He and his crew cleaned up all of the old roof and all of the nails/screws that they had torn off. My new roof looks excellent. He was significantly less expensive than another bid I had received. He has roofed several properties in Elkhart and I have not yet heard one complaint. I will use him again in the future and as a Real Estate Professional, I have recommended him for several projects. He will also come and give a bid for my clients in a timely fashion.
