I am a single guy and have essentially neglected any type of foot care except clipping my toenails when they start snagging my socks. I was going on a beach vacation and I knew that I would probably wear flip-flops a great deal. I was embarrassed by the state of my feet and self-conscious about going in a nail salon. The service provider put me at ease with her warm and friendly demeanor, filled a foot bath with hot water while I set in a high-tech massage chair and she offered a cold bottle of water. She worked diligently and patiently until there were no more calluses, the nails clipped and cleaned, and even did a sugar scrub on my feet and legs before massaging them with hot stones. They only charged $35 for that treatment plus an equally nice manicure.
