Nesmith Painting and Drywall

David is a wonderful painter and person. I felt very comfortable having him and his crew in our home. We have used him twice to paint the interior of our home. I highly recommend this business!

David does great work. He has done 2 projects, ceiling drywall repair and painting and painting a room. He matched the ceiling stomped finish extremely well. Always on time and very neat. I would highly recommend him.

We hired Mr. Nesmith after receiving four quotes for our job (which included removing popcorn ceiling, fixing an area on the kitchen ceiling that had been damaged, and then painting the ceiling in our kitchen and living room). He did an excellent job communicating with us throughout the project, was always on time, and kept our space as neat as could be, especially since it was a messy project. He worked really hard! I didn't see him take any breaks, except a quick lunch break daily. He was very kind, and he did very good work. We are VERY pleased with how the ceiling looks in both spaces. As a side note, Mr. Nesmith was born deaf. When you call to talk with him you will use a telephone service that translates your conversation. There is an operator to go through initially, which threw me off the first time I called. Don't let this hinder you, though, in using Mr. Nesmith. We communicated verbally in person, and on paper, and the job got done with ease! I would highly recommend him!

He is prompt and explains what he will do and what he has done when it is in process and when completed. He is very professional in how he approaches his work as one can tell by watching him work. He is particularly careful about how he approaches old architectural details building quirks like non-plum walls and glitches that need special attention. (This house was built in 1899.) When he sees something that needs added attention, he provides it. He purchases the paint and all of the supplies he needs to do the job. As a result there is no issue of having to return wrong color paint or non-fitting rollers, etc. He communicates well with regard to what he is doing and how much it will cost. His fees are very reasonable and set out in full before hand. Nesmith has an initial contract invoice form that he presents before work is begun (unlike many neighborhood handymen who work "on the come"). And he is straightforward when he needs to get more of something about what the added cost may be. The quality of work is top notch and he is responsive to suggestions and a good person to work with. (Some painters try to be decorators too telling the customer what colors they won't use or trying to get the customer to paint different things differently. I find such a response highly questionable. Mr. Nesmith does not do that. I really appreciate his willingness to go over what I want and how it can be accomplished without trying to imply I don't know what I am doing. Suggestions are good. Demands on the basis of work expertise should not be confused with decorative choices. He understands the distinction and has no problem with it.) I highly recommend Mr. Nesmith! He works hard and his work is of the highest quality! I have already recommended him to a number of friends and will continue to do so.

Excellent quality drywall repair and repainting after plumbing repair left a hole in drywall basement ceiling. On time, communicated well and very clean. I will contact him again if needed.

I would highly recommend David Nesmith as a drywall finisher and as a painter. I contacted Mr Nesmith about repairing some drywall taping that was poorly done. Mr. Nesmith came out the same day to look at the project and give me a quote. His quote was vey reasonable so I asked him to do the job. His work was excellent and he is very meticulous and there was no mess to clean up. I also asked him to paint a hallway. Mr Nesmith was prompt in returning my phone call and he completed the job in the time he stated he would. I will definitely be calling him again for any painting or drywall needs that arise.

We highly recommend David Nesmith. He was at our home for 2 days and he showed up on time, cleaned up any debris left behind and did impeccable work. We had an old stucco ceiling replaced with drywall. We would definitely hire him again. The fact that he is hearing impaired did not deter from the quality of his work.

David gave us a very competitive proposal and outlined benefits of various paint types. He arrived promptly each day and completed the job on timea as agreed. As he is hearing impaired, most of our communication was by notes but after the initial confusion, this was not a problem. His telephone is served by a translating service.

David was very professional. He is very focused on doing a good job in a timely manner. David's hearing disability does not hinder his ability to communicate with you. I am planning to hire him do work on my kitchen remodel. He will be my go to guy for drywall on all my future remodel projects. I have fifty years of experience working in the construction trades as a member of Ironworkers Local # 46. I know who does good work based on observation of how they go about the work they do and the product they create. David is a Craftman.

The painter is deaf...but is absolutely not a problem,,,more of a blessing.

Dave cannot speak and for someone that can't speak he was very personable and friendly. He got here on time each day and worked through lunch to get the job done. The price was fair , I like Dave and will recommend him to neighbors and friends when the opportunity arises. I will call him again in the future.
