They are thorough and compassionate. The hospital and kennel is clean, pleasant and the staff there are super.

I'm happy with everything they did except the price.  The price was a little steep but everything else was great.  If I need them I will use them again.  When I had the problem I got in quickly.  It wasn't like a day or two later.  They could treat her that day.  The staff were very, very good. 

My family has been bring our dogs here since I was around 5 years old. I'm now 35 and when I adopted my first dog 3 years ago there was no question about where to take him for care. The staff is attentive and give personalized care to their clients. A couple of them still remember me from when we brought our St. Bernards in when I was a kid.

I was very pleased. She takes a lot of medication and has skin issues. She looked very well and happy when I picked her up.

I would have to give them a C.  I was there in October of last year.  I think it was about 4 or $500.  It looked like they tried, it's just my opinion that they, for instance if you take your car to the mechanic and he finds a whole lot of more things wrong with it before they look at the issue you are there for and I think that is what they do here.  I wasn't satisfied with them, that's all.  There quality of the service was fine, it's their methods, you know.

Our cats are like our family, and they treat our pets as we would treat them, so we felt very comfortable there.The price was comparable.

I think the cost is reasonable. We have used Laketown Animal Hospital for many years. I keep going back so I obviously am not put off by the price. They take good care and it is all good. I keep on going back is because the care if good and it is all good. I would rate them 'A's across the board.

Rosie was treated like a princess. Her grooming was perfect. She was so proud of herself when I came to pick her up. During her exam, she didn't even cry when she got her shots. She is a 7 lb toy breed, so that says A LOT about the care she was under. She loves going to the vet and seeing all of her friends.

I'm not writing about my most recent service at Laketown but about 40 years of fantastic service. I've been taking my pets to Laketown since the early 1970's. I started with the old Dr. Curry (father of the current owner) and now Dr. Fishkeller is my vet and has been since she graduated from vet school. They were with me for Tigger, Neffie, Thumper, Mau, Impy, Loki, the Joe cat (Mercury) and Pinch who have all crossed the rainbow bridge. We've gone through cancer, kidney failure, diabetes, and just plain old age. Over the course of time, I've dealt with probably the majority of doctors on staff depending on what procedures needed to be done and they are all great. Dr. Susie is not only my animals vet but she's also a friend. When it's time to make the hard decisions, she's wise and compassionate as are all the staff. I don't think I have enough room to give a shout out to all the individual staff members but John, Kelly, Sandy and all the rest are the best! I've currently got a dog and two cats, all youngsters, so I'm hoping for another 40 years of using Laketown Animal Clinic.

1- I called Laketown the first week in March and told them that Donner had died and to please update their records accordingly.
2- The following week I received an automated email solicitation from Laketown to bring my cat in for a senior check-up. I called the office again and complained about the untimely email. The office staff was apologetic and said they would take care of it.
3- In April I received yet another automated email solicitation from Laketown, again trying to get me to do something for my cat Donner. I this time notified them by email that I was getting fed up with these automated solicitations reminding me over and over again that my beloved pet was gone. I wrote a scathing email back, again flabbergasted that Laketown Animal Hospital would be so insensitive as to continue sending these automated emails. I pointed out to them that I worked my entire professional career in data processing and I know it should be a simple matter to update their system to remove my name from the mailing list. It is beyond me that they still had not done so. I informed them in that email that if I received another automated email from them, I would report them to the Illinois Attorney General and would be making a posting on Angie's List.
4- Today is May 21, 2013, and I just received yet another automated email from Laketown Animal Hospital to "Spring into Parasite Prevention". The consistent insensitivity of Laketown following the death of my long-time pet and companion is unfathomable to me. I do not understand their obvious refusal to remove my name from their automated email system. I am terribly disappointed with them. And my heart breaks everytime I receive another one of their insensitive emails.

They are close by to where I work so that made me select them for veterinary services. They are good at what they do.

There is a vet there too and it is a really nice place. We took them in to the vets and ended up leaving them there for a week. I will use them again in the future.
