Great communication! We received an itemized estimate prior to the work beginning. We had communication regarding start times and updates each day. The work performed was CLEAN and very, very professional. There's a reason Kate Lesley Inc is so highly rated on Angie's List. We will be hiring them again soon for more projects.

Fantastic!! Huge Thank You to Bruce Peterson, Dan,Dale, & Mike! These guys tore out our old enormous jetted tub, tore out our "space ship" shower, tile floor and leaky, "glass" block window. Dale painted our vanity cupboard - so nice! They only took 10 working days to give us a beautiful, clean modern bathroom. We love our Onyx shower from Illinois Plumbing. We highly recommend Kate Lesley for your remodel projects! We have used Kate Lesley four other times in the past - drywall, basement finishing, painting... they do it all! Give them a call!

My wife and I highly recommend Kate Lesley, Inc. we were looking for someone to remove the popcorn texture from the ceilings in our house. Kate Lesley was recommended to us from Dellert’s Paint and Wallpaper. I had heard good things about Kate Lesley from co-worker’s who had utilized their services. I contacted Kate Lesley and spoke with Bruce Patterson and explained what we needed done. We made an appointment and Bruce and a member of his team showed up, took measurements and pictures and advised when they would get back to us with a written estimate. In speaking with Bruce and in the estimate, it was fully explained to us what work would be performed. Having complete trust in Bruce, we scheduled the work to be performed while we were out of town. Since there was a six week window of when we would be gone, Bruce advised he would let us know when the work would begin and when it would be completed (he guaranteed it would be completed prior to our return, and it was). On day one, I received a call from Bruce advising we had no running water and he was concerned about possible burst pipes. I explained this had happed previously during a cold snap and the freeze was at the main. I told him I would contact the utility, but Bruce advised he would handle. He made contact with the utility and they responded to our home within a couple of hours and restored our water, it was frozen at the main. This speaks volumes as to the professionalism of Bruce and Kate Lesley. This was not his job, but he knew we were in Colorado and told me to enjoy our trip and he would handle. How many other companies would have done this? Bruce contacted us when the job was finished and sent a final invoice. The terms of the invoice for payment was 20 days upon completion of the job, but Bruce waived this as he knew we were still out of town. Bruce said to review the work when we got home and to pay when we were satisfied with the job. Again, how many companies would do this, especially with a small company. He could have made us abide by the terms of the contract, after all, he has to pay for supplies purchased and make payroll. We are extremely happy with the job his crew did. I never minded the popcorn ceilings, but my wife did, but after seeing the job Kate Lesley did, I am very glad we had the popcorn texture removed. Since Kate Lesley did such a great job, we asked they provide an estimate for interior painting. To recap, I highly recommend Kate Lesley, Inc. they are honest, trustworthy, professional and Bruce is extremely personable. Thank you Bruce and please thank your crew for Lori and I.

Bruce and his guys did an excellent job! From start to finish, they were professional, reliable, and hard working. As with any construction, there were a few things that came up along the way that couldn't be planned for. I appreciated the way Bruce kept in touch with me to let me know how things were going and any issues that arose. Two specific things that I feel give a great example of the kind of work Bruce does and the kind of person he is - - 1) When he came to do a walk through with his foreman the week before they started work, we discussed how they would block off the room so that my cats would not be able to get into the construction area while I was asleep and not home. There would be a temporary wall put up. The first day of construction, the foreman forget to put up the temporary wall when he left for the night. I called Bruce on his cell phone and he personally came out after hours in the pouring rain to put the temporary wall up for me. 2) When the fireplace was removed, it left a small section of the floor that needed to be filled in. We knew it would be very difficult to match the exact color of the existing floor, but we did not want to replace all of the floor. Bruce had told us he would do his best to get it to match, so when I saw the flooring that the foreman planned to use, I was concerned at just how different it was. Bruce went above and beyond to come up with a way to better match the flooring. In the end, he spent hours and hours getting the color perfect. You would never even know that the flooring is different! I think these two examples speak volumes of the kind of guy Bruce is and the business he runs. Not only very professional and reasonably priced, but just an all around good company and people to work with. I would recommend Kate Lesley over and over again to anyone who is needing some work done. I will certainly call them on any project I need done in the future!

Met with Bruce and his lead carpenter. They started soon after our meeting and had the bath demoed in one day. The whole process went smoothly and his crew was prompt, courteous, very knowledgeable and receptive to changes. They explained everything they did and were very clean.

It went better than planned. Workers very considerate of our home. Cleaned up every evening before going home. Made helpful suggestions along the duration of the project. Workers are craftsmen and very professional. Was impressed with constant updating between workers and owner of business. Everyone always "on the same page" throughout the project. If we had a question or concern, it was handled immediately. We would highly recommend this company for any project.

I was blown away by this company and it's staff on day 1. I left a question on angie's list and Brad responded quickly and made an appt with me. Brad (Manager) shows up to look at the items that needed fixing. Let me say from the beginning things went well. Brad dressed professionally and paid attention to what i asked for and left detailed estimates for my review. The next week, they fit me in and started the repairs! I have moved here from Alaska and work for the military, I move very often and sometimes have to rely on companies for repairs. I have never had a company treat me so well and start the job this fast. Dan (Plumber) shows up, within 20 mts he has a hold cut and the problem diagnosed, he is very knowledgeable, professional and straight to the point. When finished, i approached him with two minor jobs and his reply, "Sure what do you have"? His overall attitude was top notch and very pleasing. It would be fair to say i usually do not receive this type of "can do" attitude in today's service industry. What a relief. Dale came over and inspected a crack in my ceiling drywall that has been mudded and repaired by myself and within weeks will re crack. Dale came in and diagnosed the problem and fixed it on the spot. He has over 30 years of building experience, this is invaluable to a homeowner. Lastly Brian came and started working on the drywall repair and painting. Brian is in my opinion the finest drywaller/painter I have come across. He is a no nonsense worker who takes pride in his work....and it shows. Any complaints about the job? You tell him, he fixes without any trouble or arguments. He covered all of the furniture and cleaned up after himself. Since moving to this area, i have contacted nearly a dozen contractors for numerous services. Only 2 showed up. One was so inebriated, he could barely stand. You will receive none of that nonsense with Kate Lesley, I HIGHLY recommend to all. I can't wait to call them up and have them repaint the rest of the house!!! Thank you.

Handshake estimate on the balcony $15,000. Gutters $6,000. Took over 16 months to finish the job. Work was top notch quality. Final bill $50,664.00. If you hire him, get a written firm bid up front (don't let him tell you he doesn't like doing work orders; otherwise his guys (including apparently a "supervisor" who doesn't do much) will spend a lot of time at your house). If you have unlimited money, he is great. I can't afford him again.

"This is the response letter I sent to the home owner. [Removed Member Name] - Thank you for your praise on our work ethics and quality. I find it interesting though that you are making a issue about the cost after you paid us two years ago. Your 9 year old, executive class, north end golf course home (see our FACE BOOK page album BB), had an opulent entry porch with a flat roof 2nd story walkout deck literally falling off the house. The cast concrete handrail system on the deck was pulling itself apart as a result of the sagging and leaning. You asked me the cost to fix it right. My answer "I can't - how could I or anybody else for that matter give you a price on something that cant be visually inspected." It was obvious that something had failed badly in the original construction. The water damage was sandwiched between the flat roof 2nd story deck on top and the aluminum soffit below. The only way to find out how extensive the damage was would be to start methodically taking things apart. We agreed to complete the entire job on a "Time and Materials" basis. We documented all the work and made those documents available to you daily. Yes - it was expensive but this was a complicated repair. Changes you made and approved during the 6 month period (not the 16 you quoted in your review) rapidly increased the project cost. The project started in the fall and finished in the spring for 2 reasons (non of which I had any control). Lead time on special order cast concrete handrail materials was 6 weeks (we started in October of 2013) - some of which had to be reordered a second time because it came in freight damaged. (add another 6 weeks) In order to put the pre-cast concrete post and rail system together- all (8) hollow core corner post had to be set and filled with concrete. Winter temperatures happened to be colder and lingered longer that usual. Concrete needs to be cured properly to insure the integrity of the handrail system. I was not willing to let time corrupt the project in the long term. In response to your comment about the, "Supervisor who does not do much", he is my Lead Carpenter Dale. He has been with me over 10 years with over 30 years of field experience. He is a hands on field carpenter who has always been a hard worker and leads by example. In the 10 years he has been working for Kate Lesley, I have never had anyone speak negatively about him. I do not know what prompted this response from you. What I do know is that in the 6 month project duration, not once did you bring your concerns to my attention. I assumed that you were pleased with the project in whole. Nobody likes to spend money for something they already paid for. In my opinion, shame on the original builder. There were so many mistakes made when that porch portion was built that I am surprised he is still in business. In conclusion, the cost of the project is what it costs to rebuild it so it would last, and I did. I know you probably won't give me any new business, but if for any reason you have a concern about the work we did do give me a call. I promise that I will return your call. Kate Lesley Inc. just completed the second of two complete bathroom remodels for us. The work was completed in two stages so that we'd have a working bathroom available at all times. Bruce worked with us to schedule the remodels, one completed before Thanksgiving, and the second completed after New Years day. We are very pleased with our new bathrooms and recommend Kate Lesley Inc. to anyone. The employees are courteous and professional, and very experienced in all aspects of plumbing and electrical work, carpentry and drywall, tile and bath fixtures, painting, and door and trim installation. They kept us well informed about all work, checked with us frequently to ensure the planned work was completed as agreed upon, and took care to keep the work areas clean. Kate Lesley Inc. will work with you to plan your project for a successful completion, as they did for us.

The appointment for the estimate was prompt, cordial and professional. The workman arrived every day on schedule, was professional, courteous and very respectful of the property. He kept the property owners informed of the various steps and procedures and worked diligently throughout each day. The work started on time and was completed by the target date. The result was a sleek, bright new ceiling. We are extremely happy with the result. At every point of the job the workman took great care to minimize any mess, dust and discomfort. The work site was maintained professionally and the final clean-up was completed to our satisfaction. The company even worked around a scheduled medical procedure for one of the property owners, affording every consideration to her situation. We cannot recommend Kate Lesley, Inc. highly enough. It was a pleasure to do business with them and I look forward to working with them on future projects for our home this spring.

They were clean, neat and completely professional. All the guys were easy to work with. I was given an estimate and there were no surprises at the end. They even kept track of the plumbing separate. I knew how much it was costing me that way. When we started we really weren't sure what we were gonna find when we ripped down the wall. It came out beautiful. I'm very happy with the end results.

Excellent. Vaulted ceiling seem was cracking and we tore out a wall and had to patch the ceiling. He another provider attempt to fix vaulted tape area about 3 years ago because they were slightly cheaper it cracked again within a couple months. The other provider did not even change the tape. Kate Lesley fixed the vault replaced with new flex tape and tied in the stomping perfectly. Also we had torn down a wall and had someone else attempt. Many man hours later could still see outline of the wall on the ceiling and the stomping did not match. Kate Lesley tied in in to perfection. Can not tell a difference with old stomp and new. The vaulting and repair only took 8 hours. Kate Lesley was clean, quick and professional.

Bruce Peterson, the owner, sent his guys out on a Monday morning and we started tearing out the kitchen. His employees are extremely hard workers and they are very good about offering advice. I worked with Dale on the wall, beam, crawlspace footers, etc., while Dan rewired outlets and moved the plumping. It took about 3 days to get it all done, and the 4th/5th day we finished up the drywall.
We had a number of bids, and one of the reasons why we chose Kate Lesley is because Bruce allowed me to work alongside his guys to help speed up the project. He charged hourly, and each day I received a copy of the hours so that I could add up the numbers and keep track of the cost. Also, working with the guys allowed me to make many decisions that I wouldn't otherwise have been there to make.
I will definitely use Kate Lesley again. These guys are experts, with many years of experience. They're not cheap, but you can rest assured that they will do the job right.

The company was very prompt in returning my initial phone call. The owner came to my home in short order and assessed the job with a high tech "camera/laser" device that took pictures and measurements. I was given a competitive bid quickly and we scheduled the job (which was completed on time with quality results).

Bruce the owner came and discussed what I wanted done and in the process pointed out some other possible updates. The ideas Bruce suggested were really fresh and updated our dated interior design. We took out a ceiling fan and moved a TV from a side wall and mounted it over our fireplave. They turned a junk closet into a area we are now installing a wine rack and bookcase. They got rid of our popcorn ceiling and restamped it, and it all looks terrific. The crew that works for Bruce are very professional and extremely helpful. There were many on the spot decisions I had to make, because I had so many, "oh by the way could you..." moments. The crew offered many suggestions that allowed me to make an informed decision. I will be using Kate Lesley for several other projects I do not have the skill or the time to complete. If you want it done right the first time and in a timely manner call Kate Lesley.
