I had Illini do the waterproofing in my basement. The bid was very reasonable. Right out of the gate Lorenzo was a class act. Very professional. He showed up when he said he would and his crew was very nice. The crew went the extra mile and also ran my furnace condensation line into the system to eliminate any water dripping on my basement floors into the drain. What a huge bonus. I would not have even thought about doing that (and neither did the other companies) but now I have more dry space for storage. They even installed the discharge pipe from the pump against the wall so I would not hear a loud knock every time it turned on or see the pipe once I finished the walls. They were very detail oriented. They used high quality materials and also took the time to explain the process they used. When they were done they cleaned up as if they were not even here. Cannot say enough good things about them. I got other estimates and a few were comparable, but I took comfort in the fact that the owner actually came out to look at the job and not just a commissioned salesman that had no experience actually putting systems in. All basements are different and Lorenzo had the experience to create a custom waterproofing system based on my needs. If you appreciate good customer service then I would definitely recommend Illini waterproofing. I wish I could give them an A+!

I now know much more about proper and improper placement of drainage tiles for a waterproofing system to be able to carry water away from our home rather than allow it to backup into the tiles and enter our home. I feel confident we will not have further flooding in our lower level and that the job is now done right. I am not an expert - the changes are logical and make sense in regards to what should have been done when the system was installed the FIRST time. I learned the hard way that Greentree had a "good" salesman which did not equate to a "good" company that would stand by their "unconditional guarantee" or perform the quality work I thought I paid to receive. When the time comes for us to sell our home we will be able to assure prospective buyers Illini Waterproofing LLC is owned/operated by professional, caring, honest people; the newly installed waterproofing system will keep the lower level and crawl space dry; and Illini Waterproofing WILL stand by their work IF there is ever a problem.
Anyone who has ever had water in their home knows how disturbing such an event is; no one would want to endure having it occur repeatedly, especially after having paid for the costly installation of a "supposed" waterproofing system. I regret that I have had to go through this process twice. I am grateful to Illini Waterproofing for correcting this problem.

I liked that the price was reasonable. However, I did feel like the professionalism just wasn't there. They showed up without the correct equipment and there truck broke down the second day. In general it seemed liked they showed up late and it took longer then stated and were just lacking a professional manner.
