 + -1 moreOn 04/16/2014, I received an invoice for $3,000.00 from Fuhrmann Engineering and on 04/18/2014, I received a proposal from CES indicating the work would cost $3,000.00. On 04/22/2014, I met with Gina Fuhrmann, of Fuhrmann Engineering at my house to resolve these issues and when I realized the meeting was a waste of time I asked her to leave. She refused and my wife asked her to leave and she refused again. She did not leave until my wife called 911. I have never approved any proposal from Fuhrmann Engineering or CES, nor have I agreed to pay for any work except the foundation waterproofing. I have reported these two firms to the BBB and the Illinois Attorney General.
Description of Work: Sent an employee to provide mold mitigation services Employee told me I had to have my foundation waterproofed or the service guarantee would be void. I agreed to have the foundation waterproofed for $650.00, and signed a 'Work Agreement' as I had not signed a contract with Fuhrmann Engineering. The employee requested a check at the end of the day and handed me his business card which indicated he worked for Capital Environmental Services (CES), but to make out the check to him so that he could pay the day workers. At this time I did not know that CES was wholly owned by Fuhrmann Engineering. The second coat of waterproofing was done on 04/15/2014, and the workers left without cleaning up.
