My 3 year old healthy dog died after complications from a surgery here. When I tried to address my concerns about his management with the owner he did not offer condolences about the death of my dog and then, after becoming defensive, said he would "hang up on me if I didn't shut up". As a customer, I found this emotionally distressing. As a member of the medical community, I found it appalling.

Treating the kitten for fleas, infection, and worms was tricky because of her size and age. Dr Gilmore found medicines that worked and kitty is now a sassy strong and 9 months old . Cat needed ear cleaning and medicine, surgery for broken teeth, and support for fears he had from being adopted three times and then abandoned. Dr. Saner removed his broken teeth in a surgery, scaled his good teeth, and gave us a tri-fold on what products to buy to keep his teeth healthy. The nurses and reception were great too!

Great, of course we were sad that our cat was sick, but the list of what to do not do and watch for was spot on. Dr. Miller was super good with our cat even though it was being bratty. She wanted to wait to do more tests because she felt kitty was going to be just fine, she was right!

I love these folks. I ended up transferring to Coble when one pet was diagnosed with cancer and they were the only ones who could to chemotherapy for her. They were so great with the whole process. They are so informative and helpful and reassuring. They even make house calls. And you get free nail trims anytime without an appointment. Some of my family uses them and well and they are delighted as well.

Good experience with this vet. The doctor was very attentive, she took her time and answered all my questions. They seem to genuinely care about the welfare of the pets that come in.
When I received my cat back I couldn't even tell she'd had the surgery - she was as energetic and playful as ever. The surgery itself was under $200.

We recently moved to Springfield and needed a veterinarian for our four indoor-only spayed/neutered cats. Two of the cats are mature - 8 yr olds (M/F), the other two are 3 yr olds (M/F) and all have received regular vet care. After reading reviews here on Angie's List, I selected Coble Animal Hospital both because of the convenience of the location and because of the quality of the reviews. I called and made a same-day appointment for all four cats. Originally they offered to set up appointments separately for each cat, but when I explained I preferred to bring them all in at the same time, they were happy to oblige. The hospital was in the process of transitioning entirely to electronic records. I found this to be a wonderful improvement from our old vet, especially because I could put in their records any medications they have used in the past, so that I could just call in refills as needed without an appointment. The cats were examined thoroughly, and they took a detailed history. I brought in a stool sample and it was tested for parasites, found negative. There was both a vet and a veterinary assistant for the entire examination. They were very kind to the cats - gave them plenty of treats, and preferred that they hold the animals rather than me during shots and examinations (again a difference from my old vet, who did not have an assistant the whole time and who asked that I hold the animals).
On a personal note, I am highly allergic to cats (yes, I know I have four). Because of the care and attention given, and also because of the conversion to electronic records, which took longer to input than handwritten notes on a chart, the appointment took longer than I was used to and I ended up having a severe reaction at the office, rather than at home where it usually kicks in. When the staff saw I was having difficulty, they brought me a bottle of water so I could take a couple of Benedryll. They also offered to help me carry the cats and their four carriers back out to the car after the appointment.
Coble Animal Hospital was definitely more expensive than my previous vet, but we received an ongoing 10-20% discount from our previous vet because of the program through which we adopted our pets. I rate the price a B is because I feel the cost is fairly standard for the quality of care and service we received. Coble Animal Hospital isn't a great value, but I feel it's a fair price. Thus far we have only required standard care, but I am planning to return next year for their annual shots and would go in again if an acute issue arose.

The staff and doctors are friendly and knowledgeable. They have always treated with my dogs with kindness. Their diagnosis is accurate, and the treatment usually works. They are willing to try anything to make the animal comfortable or cured. They treated a dog of mine for arthritis, and kept him as pain free as possible until he just couldn't stand up anymore. They then humanly put the dog to sleep. I plan to do some work around my house, and I plan to visit Angie's List for information.

They are great. They are caring and they are complete. I have 6 rabbits. I don't know how to compare their price because I've never been anywhere else. I've used them several times and would definitely use them again in the future.
