CABINETWORK KITCHENS

MY ORIGINAL CONTACT WAS AT A SPRINGFIELD TRADE SHOW.  A SALESPERSON (JOE) FOLLOWED UP WITH A CONTACT AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT AT MY HOME.  THE SALES PITCH WAS MADE TO MY WIFE AND I. THE SALES PITCH INCLUDED SOME OPTIONS THAT THE FOLLOW-UP ENGINEER (OWNER-PAT) DEEMED NOT FEASIBLE.  HOWEVER, MOST WERE MINOR AND PAT PROPOSED ALTERNATIVES, AS WELL AS, SOME EXCELLENT RECOMMENDATIONS TO BETTER MEET OUR OBJECTIVES. THE WORK CREW WAS SCHEDULED AT OUR DISCRETION.  A TEAM OF TWO MEN  (DAN & RUSS) BEGAN WORK AS SCHEDULED.  THEY WERE VERY PERSONABLE, PROFESSIONAL, HARD WORKING, EFFICIENT, THOROUGH AND MET ALL OF OUR EXPECTATIONS.  THE WORK WAS COMPLETED IN FOUR DAYS AS PROMISED.  I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SERVICE; HOWEVER, I WOULD GET ALL SPECIFICS OF THE SALESPERSON IN WRITING FOR CLARIFICATION WHEN FINALIZING THE PROPOSAL.  I CONTACTED THE OWNER - PAT  SEVERAL TIMES WAS VERY THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT AND FOUND HIM TO BE VERY ACCOMMODATING AND CORDIAL 

It did not go well. First of all, the sales people and workers are the nicest people in the world, but please note that they obviously are very good at talking the talk but not walking the walk. The only way I know how to list all of the problems we had with this business is to make a list. Problems began the very first day. We did not realize the extent of the problems until they were finished with the job and we could inspect it more closely.
1. Failed to put down any kind of floor covering or sheeting in doorways. Dust everywhere and glue on our wood floors. We found drywall pieces for days afterwards in our living room.
2. Laminate refacing on cabinets was installed with multiple chips (some very large).
3. Backsplash installed with ridiculous seams showing.
4. Electrical outlets installed crooked and loose.
5. Sink installed but leaked.
6. Many items not installed- moldings, garbage disposal, kick boards 
7. Trim at top installed unevenly. Tried to cover it up with massive amounts of wood putty.
8. Continually used our recycle bin as a garbage can despite being told not to do so.
9. Foul language when working while my teenage daughter was home alone with them (and they say they are a Christian organization)
10. Clean up at end of project was a joke. They filled my garage recycle bin with saw dust, drywall and leaves and left it.
In a nutshell?.SHODDY WORK. They did take care of all of these things and more because I insisted, but it took almost 2 months to get it done because I would not let the original crew back in my house.

Very prompt and courteous. I trusted the carpenter. I would use them again because it was very easy to deal with and cheap. My complaints are the salesman comes by and sells you on this kitchen and yeah yeah's you and promises the moon. Then the designer comes by and designs he kitchen how he sees it. I had to be pretty firm with them to get it how I wanted it. The carpenter did the plumbing the last day which bothered me because even though they check for leaks some can still arise and they did. The pipes didn't leak with the faucet but once the dishwasher came on they leaked. I had to replace a few fittings that leaked. I have not contacted them on this matter but I am sure they will stand for the 10 dollar parts.  So I was happy with everything they did except for the leaky pipes and under the cabinet lights. All in all that is not to bad because I am pretty particular.

Overall, the experience didn’t go very well. Their communication within the company is very lacking; they promised things that they didn’t follow through with. The crew that installed the cabinets did a good job, but the management/scheduling didn’t have good communication, so we got the run-around.
