We noticed and brought up to Bill that some areas of the wood flooring did not meet in all joints.  The work was done in June/July 2014.  The work was almost complete when we started noticing several areas where the work was not very good.  There were a few areas that were left uncompleted and we told Bill that we would call to schedule when he could return.  We did not call him back to complete the miscellaneous areas.  
I called Bill as time went on to inform him that the spacing between wood flooring panels were getting larger and we were told to contact the  manufacture as this was their problem.  
Bill also added shoeing to the baseboards and we noticed that in the areas where nails were covered with paint, that the paint just kept rubbing off, not in chips or chunks, but the paint did not adhere to the shoes where nails had been covered.  It turned out some type of acrylic was used, and the paint would not cover completely.  We did not know exactly what had been happening until we hired another contractor to come and make the necessary repairs.  I spoke with Bill just few weeks ago and explained what had been happening to the work we hired him to do.  He stated that it was the manufacturer's fault on the wood laminiate flooring, and that he had never had any issue with using an acrylic product to seal nails in the shoes.   
I will be sending a large piece of the shoe that Bill installed when removed and replaced so that he can see for himself the problem we have.
If we had not contracted with another provider to "fix" some cosmetic problems in the areas that Bill performed the work, we would not have really seen how bad it was, and that it was not because of something we did. 
It has been almost a year since we had the work done, and we could not understand why the projects just never looked good. Now we know.  We were not members of Angies List when this work was performed.  I will never contact a provider that is not on Angie's List with A ratings.
