CR Plumbing Systems, Inc

The owner came out with his sonar listening equipment and determined that the leak was 3 ft in front of my foundation. He was certain.  Using his information, 4 Seasons proceeded to dig up under my front porch to find and repair the leak.  After much digging, it became evident that there was no leak in the area that CR Plumbing said there would be.  The owner of CR Plumbing, Mark, was called back to my house by 4 Seasons. When he arrived with his listening equipment, he seemed puzzled, and then decided to listen by the Buffalo Box.  Now he determines that the leak is between the box and the street. This falls under the responsibility of the City of Chicago to repair. Why would you not listen there first?  I'm no plumber, but it seems to me that would be the ideal starting point. He had no answer for that. In the meantime, I've got a mountain of dirt piled up on my lawn, mature bushes that had to be cut to access where the "original" leak was supposed to be, and 485 fewer dollars in my pocket. I waited a few days and contacted Mark of CR Plumbing about a refund.  He totally refused, saying how he had done all kinds of leak locating in the past and was always spot on. He couldn't explain why he failed so miserably this time. His website says that they offer warranties. Apparently not when you call them out on them. I just want to make other consumers aware of CR Plumbing's lack of commitment to their customers. They have no problem taking your money but do not back up their work. If you need a leak located, use someone else.
