They took big deposit ... took them about 5 months to finally come out ...one excuse after another ... started the work without a permit ... left me without a front porch for weeks ... left a huge mess in front lawn ... I had to hire someone else to clean up and replace the steps and porch ...

The owner will tell you the big plans that he has for your place, that he is a perfectionist and that he really takes pride in the work he does. He will sell you on clean lines for painting good; solid work and you end up loving the place with no issues. Sadly, that is all that he does. He may have these wonderful ideals; however, his workers do not. The work is done haphazard, they change items without your approval constantly and when you ask them to be corrected they simply say sorry it is already there; nothing we can do. The painting is terrible. I had to go back and fix several items they painted to make it look presentable. I have a one-bathroom condo and they would remove the toilet and not tell me I would not have one. I would come home to find the toilet in the kitchen. NO phone call from anyone to let me know I would be without a toilet. A little consideration would have been nice to let me know I was without a working bathroom. He told me worst case I would be without one for a day, well that was more like 3 days. with no notice I have been asking for two months for them to come back and finish the bathroom since they did not finish caulking in that room. I texted and called the owner and the worker who completed the bathroom. He is always saying he is sorry this happened but never corrects the problem. They did come to return my keys and attempt to complete my request and did it half of the way. I asked again for someone to come back to finish the work. He promised me someone to come out and fix it. I am still waiting. I would not recommend them.

Familee Home Improvement built a cedar privacy fence around my house in December 2016 after signing a contract in November 2016. The install itself was fraught with difficulties, missed deadlines, rotating crews and over promises. After much back and forth the fence was completed. Albeit, with debris throughout the yard and a sizable gap from the bottom of the fence to the ground all the way around. As spring came, I walked the fence line and found four fence posts that were not securely anchored, resulting in a sagging fence line. I contacted Familee home improvement to voice my concerns about the loose fence posts, remaining trash from the install and a 6" gap from the dirt to fence panel. Joe from Familee was quick to contact me after an initial email from me and promised to honor the 5 year warranty. As of May 16, 2017, the company had come out to the house a sporadic handful of times. In each instance they did not remove the trash, but they managed to finally anchor a few problem posts after several tries. One particular post was fixed but off level. Currently, we have fence debris from January in our yard, a sizable gap from the dirt to the fence (we bought the fence to contain our dogs) and uneven fence lines from the shotty repair. The last contact I have had from the owner was from May 4, where he replied that all remaining work would be taken care of "tomorrow".

Our hot water heater broke and completely flooded our basement. Joe Lee responded quickly. He was at my home the same day I contacted them. I had a new hot water heater installed in less than 48 hours. Joe Dobjia, the plumber, was knowledgeable and friendly. He did a great job and made sure that I knew how to use my new hot water heater before he left. I recommend Familee Home Improvement to everyone!
