 + -1 moreFirst, I bought a couch that I absolutely loved. However, I found that there was something about the couch that made me cough so much that I thought I would choke. I called Walter E Smithe and told them that the couch was making me ill. I tried to keep the couch because I just loved it! However, evenwith the windows open I was coughing. Eventually, I had to have them take back the couch. The woman I spoke to said that they would take back the couch but I had to promise to pick out something else of equal value. Well, they had my money so of course I said yes. I ended up picking out living room tables and a lamp which I do like. I told you the story about the table in the other section.
Description of Work: I purchased 2 chairs, ottoman, dining room table with 6 chairs, coffee table 2 end tables, 1 lamp. Everything was delivered by friendly delivery men.One of the chairs needed a bit of a repair --- the repair person was friendly, knowledgeable and completed the work in a timely manner. One of the end tables had a drawer that was stuck, the repair person did some sanding and was friendly, knowledgeable , and completed the work in a timely manner. I was satisfied both times. I will purchase more furniture from them in the future.

 + -1 moreEverything went well from start to finish. Loved working with Audrey. Nice not to have to run around from store to store. Love the fact that Walter E Smithe has quality furniture that will last. I am so tired of the cheap stuff that looks good for awhile and then when you use it it falls apart.
Description of Work: We moved into a new home. I worked with Audrey Canavino at the Skokie store. She came to the old house to see and measure what we were moving. She told me where to put it in the new house. We picked out furniture for the kitchen, family room, dining room, foyer and living room. She also helped me pick a bar and bar stools for the rec room. She helped me pick paint colors for the whole house. She came out for both deliveries to see that everything was right and put in the right place. I loved working with her and hope to get her help in picking out accessories for our new house. I would highly recommend that you give Audrey a call for help with your home.
