Sal and his team did a wonderful job. We contacted Vista in October 2016, knowing that we wanted to be first on the list for Spring 2017. After a quick consultation, Sal provided us his design plans and estimates - the initial plan was much more elaborate than I had anticipated, but we loved it. After making a couple minor changes, we were set. Sal and his team showed up in mid-May and completed all the work in about 10 days (despite torrential rain a couple days). We made a few on the fly changes once we saw how things were coming together. Sal offered alternate ideas and even did some minor repair work on the front walk way too. Sal and his team really did a phenomenal job on our yard and I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to call him up for additional work in the future.

Project went really well from proposal stage to finish. Sal and his team were very professional and responsive. Project turned out really well, couldn't be happier. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Sal was great. He scheduled quickly, came on time and efficiently completed the project. I talked to to several potential service providers. Sal's bid was in the top middle of the estimates. More importantly, Sal was the only one who understood prairie plants. He saved several and used them as border plants. He arranged the plants and sod in a very eye pleasing manner.He was very clear about what I needed to take care of the sod initially so that it would establish well.  I could not have asked for a better experience..

The front yard originally had vinca planted and the owner of vista cleverly suggested that we replant it in the parkway since our grass in the parkway was a constant source of difficulty.  It was the ideal solution for our problem and was not costly since we already had the plants.  The icing on the cake was that we actually got boxwood plants that were significantly larger than we had contracted for and so our garden seemed more mature from the very start.  Sal the owner is professional and helpful and always comes with his team of workers so he is readily accessible.

I cant say that it worked out pretty well because we had asked them to do some extra stuff and they were suppose to let us know when they were coming but they didn't. So they didn't do the extra stuff so we discontinued our communication. I think they were great nonetheless with their job on the Big Deal service. I didn't spend anything extra and they came out less than 2 weeks after I purchased the deal.

Purchased through Angie's List. Happy with the service provided, although I did feel that I needed to follow up more than should be necessary to schedule the actual yard clean-up. Overall, would use Vista Landscape again for yard work.

They were very efficient in their work, completing the job they promised to do in about 1.5 hours. I would use them in the future.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was very good. There were no additional costs. I would use them again. My neighbors even asked who did the job.

It went great!  Sal and his team are an excellent crew.  They were able to do a few extra things beyond the coupon which I paid a fair price for.  Sal offered a few suggestions for future improvements on our porch and will we definitely have his crew back.  Quality, trustworthy services provided here. Excellent service.  Mr. Mancera was polite and well informed about plants in my garden.  He advised me on their upkeep and I look forward to using his services again after the winter season.   My yard and gardens look wonderful!

They were very nice and  pleasant to deal with. My only complaint is that the pavers are supposed to have been installed sloped in such a way that the water would run off into the drains. Unfortunately, it's not that perfect and we do get puddles where the ground sank in.  But it still looks very nice.

Vista Landscaping did an excellent job with our new patio. They addressed our needs for both functionality and ascetics.   We initially called because our brick patio was having flooding problems during large rainfalls.  The rain would leave our pavers very dirty and many of them loose.  We discussed the problem with the company, and they promptly presented us with a design that was much beyond our expectations. 

Our patio was raised and graded to solve the flooding problem.  The actual design was beautiful.  The patio was designed  to fit our personal needs (firepit, grilling station, secluded retreat area, etc).  The perimeter of the patio was landscaped with gorgeous perennials and small trees.  Sal has a great eye for beauty.  We were included in all the decision making of material and design, but in all honesty,  after our initial discussion with Sal, we trusted that whatever he was going to do was going to turn out great.   He suggested that we use some existing pavers to keep costs down and stay within our budget.  The team even cleaned our gutters after they noticing some overflow.

We mentioned that we were having an upcoming social event at our home in early June, and wanted the work done before then.   It was done promptly, in more than enough time for our guests to enjoy.  We have received many compliments since having the work done.

On a personal note, the team was extremely professional and friendly.  They were very easy to work with and readily available when we had concerns.  i would definitely use their services again, and will recommend them to friends and family.

Sal explained the job when he came to give an estimate. He started on time and finished as expected. He coordinated with another contractor who was building steps that landed on the pavers. During the project, it became apparent that more filling was necessary due to a huge hole in the ground that had been previously in place from an old pond in the backyard. I was charged for this but I do believe the charges were fair for the extra work. The ground was leveled so that water would drain away from the house. Drainage pipes were placed to conduct the water away from the house into underground pits and popup drains. The pavers look beautiful and the backyard setup is perfect for our family's needs. A few flaws were evident in the work. A drainage site designated on the plans in the pavers was not placed. The downspouts drain into pipe that is not large enough. Two downspouts drain into one pipe and I had to take one out because of backflow (drain pipe not big enough). Again, the plans called for each to go to a separate popup drain. He did come to look at the problem but it was not rectified, however my solution has taken care of it. Sal had very lovely plans for planting but we did not use him for that portion because the cost was very high. I had that part of the job done, admittedly not as nice as he would have done, for about 1/10th to 1/5th the cost.

Two things impressed me most about this company: one is the speed in which they came in and got the work done. Sal Mancera, the owner, sent four men over and even did work himself. They worked very hard and got so much done in a relatively small amount of time. The second thing that impressed me was their artistry. Their work with pavers is beautiful. They installed a serpentine path that became the border of our garden, and the artistic details that they included with regard to borders and the area where the path meets the patios was really amazing. Also, Sal's estimate was much lower than another local company from whom we got an estimate, yet the quality of work was quite high. We would use this company again in a heartbeat, and in fact have already hired them to do some additional landscaping in our yard.

They weren't the most expensive, so I wasn't expecting anything superlative, however, I was expecting a good, solid job. The first year was pretty good. However, things deterioted following that. They chopped our lawn down very low on severla occasions and with the string trimmers scalped down to bare dirt. On top of that, they did work we didn't specify in the contract and then tried to bill us for it. When I called to discuss the issues and left a message, they didn't call back. Over the period, the lawn degraded significantly. Finally decided it wasn't worth the price and now doing it myself. UInfortunate, because I was willing to pay the price for basic, good results and would have told others. Instead, they lost my business.

WORK WAS COMPLETED EARLY AND TO VERY HIGH STANDARDS. I COMPARED VISTA WITH THREE OTHER BIDS, AND NOTHING WAS CLOSE, ALTHOUGH THE SPECS (I.E. DEPTH OF LIMESTONE BASE BELOW WALKWAY) WAS THE SAME. SAL OVERSAW THE WORK HIMSELF, AND CLEARLY TOOK PRIDE IN IT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND VISTA.
