I got the Parks' double guard flood control system installed on Sept. 21 for $9,880, plus the $195 option for the Parks' camouflage cover. The system seems to be the best on the market. The guys who installed the system worked hard and efficiently, installing the system in 2 days. The plumber, Alex, was extremely detail-oriented on scoping out our system, identifying and marking the route, and making clear drawings of how the system works. They left without finishing the camouflage cover, saying they will be back "early next week at the latest" because they didn't have sod. It has been 6 weeks, and they still haven't finished the job, even though they collected payment for it. I have followed up with the project manager, Shaun, by phone 5 times and the scheduler, Adri, by phone once and email twice. Both kept telling me that they will be back "soon" to finish the job. This irresponsibility offsets all the good things about their system and reduces the rating to 2-stars.

Everything went professionally and perfectly, until the last call was made to them to repair damage to the new concrete caused by their workers. Over thirty days later, request for repair was ignored.

Super happy. My house hasn't flooded since I've had them there, which had flooded regularly before. Out of all the things I've done, this was the number one best thing. Whenever it would rain more than two inches my house would flood. On the price, I'm very happy with it. I had a small issue with when they were doing the electrical. I think they had to come back like an extra time. They thought that they could do it one way and when they came to do it the person who initially checked my house was wrong. So, they had to do it a different way, you know looking into my electrical because there was a pump involved. Here's the other thing they did for me. It was in February, and we had a huge snow storm. My son had left our snow shovel by the curb, and the snow plow took it away. I was trying to dig out my car with a dirt shovel. The guy who was digging the hole in my front lawn to put the system in actually came out and dug out my car for me. This was above and beyond and I was super happy. I had the one time they had to come back. They had to dig out my yard in order to put the tent in my yard. When they put the dirt back in the next year it settled a little bit. I called them up, and they came back out and filled it with dirt. They made that extra effort.

They were on time, inspected our line and equipment and told us what we needed. The battery for our backup system needed to be replaced and they told us it was covered under warranty which was great news to us since we just purchased the house. They could have easily sold us a new battery and we wouldn’t have known about the warranty. This is a company that I will definitely do business with in the future because they’re honest. Since their visit,, I’ve spoken to several neighbors who feel the same way about Park’s.

The initial visit and the follow-up visit that included work went great. Matt came to assess our system and said we would need a new motor/pump and some other smaller issues in the flood control system. His price quoted was considerably cheaper than a competitor. He seemed to be interested in saving us money. He used a camera to inspect the pipes going to the street and found a few small roots. He didn't charge anything to rod out the roots. He also examined our sump pump and decided not to charge us the additional price because it is such a new system. Matt and his guy did a great job. They were incredibly quick and even knocked even more off of our final price. We were very pleased.

Easy. Not the cheapest, and my lawn is not pretty, but they knew what they were doing.

Our experience with Parks Plumbing was much better than I will be able to put into words, and I am writing the strongest possible positive review. This is a great company. The initial visit for assessing the scope of work and providing an estimate was a useful education and all aspects of the work/bid were explained in thorough detail. We had to wait for the work to start, once we accepted the bid, because there had been flooding in the area recently and Parks Plumbing is a very popular vendor -- they were simply booked up. But Parks gave us a start date estimate which held true (they actually started a little sooner than the estimate) and once they began, the work was done quickly, efficiently, neatly, and with great information for me at every step. The crew foreman made a point of showing me stages of the work and making sure all my questions were answered while he was on-site. When the check-valve work began, I knew there was a likely cracked pipe problem closer to the house, and Parks undertook a second excavation (after the check-valve was installed) to have a look. When the cracked section was exposed, they showed me the problem and presented reasonable alternatives, then promptly made the repair at a reasonable cost. The village inspector for the latter work was on vacation, delaying completion of the work for several days, but Parks handled every aspect of that problem with aplomb. Finally, while addressing the cracked pipe problem, Parks detected some quirky branching of the sanitary line (the handiwork of a do-it-yourselfer long ago) that might contribute to flooding issues if not remedied, then proposed a solution (including some inside trenching) that was reasonable and cost-effective. Thus, Parks handled the original check-valve job and two unrelated but major repairs in short order -- though the crew was operating on a tight and heavily booked schedule. I cannot express how grateful I was that they stayed with my house and finished all the work in one fell swoop. After relatively small initial deposits, Parks did not bill me for all this work until everything was complete.

Received detailed estimate and description, including an estimate for repair and replacement.

Because summer is peak storm season I was in a rush to get someone to come confirm it was working correctly. I called Park's and they slotted me in for an appointment that same afternoon. I didn't love the price, but I was happy to pay for it given the prompt response. These guys are real experts and I highly recommend their work.

I had a great experience with Parks! I had 4 company's give quotes, Parks was very competitive, but not the lowest, I went with Park's because I felt most comfortable working with them and felt they had a superior product. They have showed up on time when they said they were, they have kept me informed at the various stages and quickly and cleanly did their work. I am a very happy customer.

I originally called Parks to assist with a water leak. When he arrived to take a look (on time), he gave me (what I assume) a fair quote. Then he gave me a DIY fix and even went as far to tell me exactly the part I would need. He even used the words, "I'd love to charge you, but you could save a good deal of money." 
This is just good business. He gave up a cheap job, but probably gained himself a lifetime of referrals and future work.

Mike was super-thorough, professional and polite.  He came out and overall checked out our plumbing/sewer/drainage/overhead situation and used a camera to check the sewers.  Based on everything, he recommended one new sump pump in one of our pits and rodding of the sewer line.  He checked many things multiple times and wrote everything up, including diagrams.  He then recommended what to fix and why and made sure that we understood everything.  Will call them again next year when the sewer needs to be rodded again. . .

I live in Elmwood Park . I waited a bit before to write a review .I signed the contract on Sept 2013 and labor was performed on March 2014 . 2 days of work during very cold days . The crews were simply fantastic . Late in April we got our first severe storm , nice test for the system. I was super happy . No more sewer back flow due of heavy rain . During the 2014 spring and summer we had other hard storm and my basement was dry and safe. It was a costly project but it pays for itself in terms of value to the property and personal piece of mind ( the noise of rain drops was totally drive me nuts as I was constantly afraid to get flooded how bad the sewer system is where I live. It is also true that the E.P village is working hard to fix the problem . I was eligible to get a refund as incentive to put in safety my property - refer to the flood mitigation program at the E.P village - )  . On March 2015 the
crew came to inspect the system for the yearly routine maintenance ( $98.00 . necessary to maintain active the protection plan )  , all was ok ( I look at it , externally once a month to see if the pump works ) . Would I buy this system again ? YES.
