We visited their showroom thinking we wanted marble for our kitchen. We saw samples of Quartzite that had some of the same colors and veining as marble but is much harder and easier to care for. Tiffany was very helpful working the estimate, then helping us select the actual slabs at the warehouse. She taped the slabs to show us how each of the pieces would look when cut. At the factory, Agata had us do a final review before the tops were fabricated. We went with a very simple eased-over edge which was at no extra charge. When it was time for installation, a 4-man crew arrived to install a 4x10 island, 3 pieces of countertop and a bath vanity top we were able to salvage from an unused corner of the slab. You are paying for the entire slab so look to utilize as much as possible. The installation was completed in about 2 hours, including bonding in a piece above the sink and drilling the faucet holes. We later noticed a chip near one seam and a workman was sent out who refinished to our satisfaction. We are really happy with the look and have received many compliments from friends and family.

Terrible.
Let me temper these remarks by saying that two of the guys that installed the counters were great, and cared about the result.
However....
It should have been a red flag when the project manager I dealt with knew nothing about soapstone. He initially told me there was a 24 wait time after the counters were installed to allow the sealer to dry. Soapstone is non-porous and does not require a sealer.
The worker were punctual, and initially all was going well. Then they ran into a snag. I needed a support piece to reinforce the counter over the stove. They brought in the foreman who proceeded to conduct the worst piece of carpentry I have ever witnessed. Wood butchery at it's finest. I tried to intervene, but he ignored me and went on with his loud grinding assault on my cabinetry. The result is a disgrace. I called the office who proceeded to tell me the guy was not a cabinet maker. Not a cabinet maker! Not even a bird house maker. He also told me it would cost an additional $150.00 for the roughly misshapen wood supporting my $4000.00 countertop (in addition to some split, poorly installed support pieces around my lazy Susan).
Then the guys dropped a very heavy cast iron sink through the opening in my countertop shearing off all the PVC drain pipes under my sink. No one acknowledged this until I inquired about the noise. No apolgy. No explanation.
The next day they sent in a plumber (who was excellent). Although they had to remove a section of my cabinetry to do it, leaving a scarred rectangle on the inside of my cabinet. It took him most of the day to fix the problem. This meant that most of my appliances could not be installed. I need to pay them for an additional visit. The cooktop did not fit. The "foreman" reemerged to continue his loud, inept assault on the poor mangled piece of wood that struggled to support my $4000.00 countertop. It put up a struggle, but eventually the cooktop fit. The hole for the cooktop looks like it was cut with flint tools.
I thanked Exotic Marble for the plumbers in an email, in an attempt to be cordial. No repsonse. No follow up call. No apology for the inconvenience. Nothing.
A counter installer who knows absolutely nothing about cabinetry is like a steering wheel expert who knows nothing about cars.

Tiffany at the showroom and Nick at the warehouse were very helpful. Staff that came to measure and then install were prompt and did a good job.

This was overall a positive experience. The sales consultant was helpful in the selection process -- she had opinions and good judgment and was willing to consider lots of possibilties, which I appreciated. The slab came from MGSI-Illinois, which has a huge inventory and great selection, and the prices seemed competitive. The only less positive parts of the experience came with scheduling and billing: they only give a day's notice for installation, and if you can't be home that day it can take awhile to reschedule, thus setting your project timeline back, and when there was an error on my final bill, it took awhile to get someone to return a call and resolve it. But the up-front service was very good and the final product is beautiful, so I'd recommend them.

They had great customer service. The consultant that helped me select the marble was really good. She explained all the pros and cons of flexibility and clean-ability. They installer was really good too. It looks beautiful.

Terrific. Their showroom has large samples of many types of granite and marble which makes a selection so much easier than other places with just small squares. Their production stuff is very detailed and they work hard to match seamed pieces. Their installers were on time, neat, organized, and did a great job of placing faucet holes and cleaned up after themselves. Highly professional organization. We are very happy with the job they did for us.

I went to the shop and picked out a piece of marble. They came out and measured and then e-mailed me a drawing, and I made a few changes. They confirmed the changes and cut the piece. They came out and installed the top. It fit perfectly and looked beautiful, except for one corner. I called them back, they came out and rounded it out a bit more and I couldn't be happier.
