there were major issues with the quality of the work and he refused to fix it because he didn't have time claiming it was good enough . Sanding marks ver visible , no patching perfom on holes , pencil drawn on the floor where the stain poorly covered . Missed stain under the dishwasher . Track marks from rolling out the refrigerator. Beware . He rushes and doesn't care to fix it before getting paid . He will not come back !!!

The work was supposed to take 1 week. The work was completed on time, but the result were absolutely horrible.  There were globs of stain, visible unfinished wood in places, large areas of discoloration along the walls where they scratched the wood and tried to quickly re-sand/refinish select areas, and the list goes on.  Virgil came back to review the work and agreed that the work was not good.  He apologized, said he was embarrassed, and promised to make it right.  We wanted to give him the benefit of a doubt, so we agreed to let him refinish the whole house.  The results from the second pass were not much better.  Not only is the stain again uneven and streaky, but now the floor is cupping.  
Virgil will not respond to our phone calls, so we had to hire another company to fix his work.

The floor was down about six months when it started to warp.. I contacted the provider and he told me it was a moisture issue, he told me this without ever coming out and looking at the floor. I tried numerous times since then to contact him and he does not answer or return my calls. Last month mY contractor contacted him and he told my contractor he would call me but he never did. I find Virgil to be very unprofessional. He told me he warranties his work, I don't know what his warranty covers but not problems. I do not recommend this provider. I'm sorry I recommended him to so many of my friends and associates. I hope they have better luck....

He put on three coats of polyurethane. He rebuilt and continued flooring to match existing floors. He was very responsive. The work was done quickly. He was flexible in timing his work with other contractors in course of completing a whole house renovations.

I cannot recommend this contractor highly enough. He is polite, on time, proud of his work, honest, responsible. The list goes on and on. The work was done on time, and the quality could not be better. The floors were flawless. You can tell Virgil takes pride in his work and really cares about doing a fantastic job. Also, after I had already paid in full I received a refund check because they didn't need to replace as much sub floor as they had thought. I'm amazed by that kind of honesty. Then, to top it off, Virgil and his crew came by the day after the job was done just to help me move my heavy furniture back in place, that wasn't even in the scope of work we had contracted out. Virgil's floor sanding provides exceptional work. I wish I could give him a higher letter grade than "A", I was that impressed.
