I know I wrote and submitted my review, so I'm not sure what's up with Angie's list. When I came to the site, I noticed this review was still in draft but the draft was entirely empty. Basically my biggest complaint with this company is over-priced & honestly I get really tired of being overcharged for stuff like this as a woman. My ex-husband was an electrician & I have a fair knowledge of what stuff costs but also I don't really have anyone to help me with home stuff, so I rely on reviews. I actually do a lot of stuff myself too. I can change fixtures, outlets etc. Years ago I actually helped my ex wire breaker boxes and pull wire for various family & friend projects, but I didn't do it often enough to retain the skill. Anyway, I was having an issue with an appliance in my house. I explained the problem and it was during the holiday season, so many places weren't responding to calls. This place did. I took photos of various wiring & breaker box. The owner said my washer was probably not on a dedicated breaker. There had been work done in my place & honestly I don't think any work to this area was done. The only issue I could see was possibly a bad GFCI switch that was on a an adjenct outlet. The washer had always previously worked & the outlet in question was rarely used. I pulled the outlet cover off and it was such a jumble of wires- I didn't want to change it. Anyway, he said send a couple of workers. If it was a bad GFCI no problem but if the breaker needed to be changed, two workers, 2 days to fish around about $1400. I already had gone without the washer for 2 weeks. No one else was calling back. The electricians showed up promptly. They said it was the breaker. Fished wires. Two hours later they were done. I asked the cost. The worker stepped into the hall to call his boss. He came back and said he said $1400 was discussed. I replied "that was the cost if it was two guys for two full days of work. You've been here two hours." The worker said, "ok, I'll take $700" with such swiftness I knew that I was still being ripped off but just was tired of this kind of stuff repeatedly happening...overcharging. I wanted them out of my house before I burst a blood vessel. By the way, the washer again went out....so it wasn't an issue with the breaker. Through a series of trial and error the problem was fixed without any cost from anyone else.

The electric problem I was having arose on a Saturday evening.  I got on Angie's List and started calling around to several electricians, but to my surprise nearly all did not work on Saturday evenings or Sunday.  In the end only 2 different electricians called me back and Ed at "847 Electric" was the only one that was willing to do work on Sunday.  He arrived on time and diagnosed the likely issue fairly quick.  After a short while he found the exact issue and fixed it immediately.  He did a great job.  The only drawback is that he is a bit pricy......but then again it was on a Sunday.

In January of this year, an icicle fell and hit a light bulb,
knocking out power in the hallway and basements of the
four flat building I co-own with my sister. I called Ed Quinonez of
847Electric.com to come and repair the problem. One of our tenants
showed him where the fuse box was located. Ed was able to immediately
identify the source of the problem and come up with a temporary
solution, which solved the problem of lack of power. He also recommended
a permanent solution, which involved replacing the old fixtures with
new fixtures which would use dusk-to-dawn light bulbs. His
recommendation was excellent as it was energy efficient and improved the
safety for the tenants. The work was high quality and the price was
reasonable. I highly recommend Ed Quinonez - 847Electric.com for
electrical work needing to be done in your home.

Our outdoor AC units were damaged and we needed to replaced them, the Heating contractor mentioned the line that fed them were never installed correctly and we should hire an electrician to run the right size cables.
We've seen the van in the area, cant miss it, a Huge 847Electric.com written across the side. Looked them up on the website, called the number and they came out and did the work.
Very professional and great to deal with.
They installed conduit from the breaker panel in the basement and had to drill through our bricks to the outside. Installation was very professional and they even gave us an outdoor outlet.
Would Recommend with AAAA+++ ratings
