I took in a pair of jeans to be hemmed. I paid up front. When I came back in to retrieve the pants, they told me they were not done. Apparently they could not see the original mark on the legs. I asked why no one called to inform me of this and they had no reason. I begrudgingly tried the jeans on so they could mark them again. When I returned to pick them up, they seemed OK when I tried them on. But when I took them up to the counter, I saw that there was a slice in the material below the hem (which would end up fraying with wash and wear) and the stitching was crooked. When I voiced my complaints, the worker called "her boss" and I spoke with him on the phone. He said he would be coming in and would call me back, and that I would get a refund for the work. No call. I called 5 days later and got the fax machine. He did call me back and left me a message that they were ready. When I went back in, the slice was still there but he said he glued it from the inside. Not OK. (If you're counting, I had to go in 4 times throughout this entire process). The only good thing is that he refunded me for the work AND the cost of the jeans. So I'm back at square one. But at least I got my money back. I will never go back to this business!

The gentleman working in the store was very polite, attentive and professional. I needed a new pair of expensive jeans finished before a trip I was taking in a couple of days. I asked if he could get the work done in time, and how much it would cost. He said not to worry and he could have the pants finished the next day for $15.00. He took measurements and I left the pants with him. I returned the next day, and the pants were altered perfectly. Customer service was top notch, quality of service is even better. Overall, this is one of the best places in Chicago to get alterations.
