Phoenix Exteriors Roofing & Solar

We ordered a new roof from Phoenix Exteriors in late September. We had a signed agreement for a new roof with Corey Cross & our roof still sits unrepaired. I gave Corey a deposit of $5,496.61 Oct. 3rd & still do not have a new roof. Phoenix Exteriors refused to honor the contract & refused to refund. This is a breach of contract for nonperformance. My wife tried to contact Corey & Nathan many times & they did not return her texts or calls. Nathan said pay for ice & water shield to code. Original contract states that this & all repairs will be to code. Nathan then requested we pay $855 for chimney flashing. They agreed to repair our severely damaged soffits & then later tried to remove this. We were told the roof would be complete in about 4 weeks in late Sept. & now in February, they left us with a severely damaged roof. We told Cara Rojas that their company has breached the original contract & we need a full refund & ignored. Corey from Phoenix Exteriors also has in the original contract 5 free boards & Nathan tried to change it to no free boards later. This is yet another breach. Phoenix Exteriors failed to apply for the permit for this roof. We were asked in Oct. about a permit & told the permit would be ordered, yet Cara contacted us in December & no permit. This is another breach for nonperformance. I then contacted the owner, Eric Stanis. He refused to honor the original contract & refused to refund. He blamed us & told us to cancel the contract which they have already breached many times & he will charge us cancellation fees they will determine. This is theft. Because of their negligence and multiple breaches this contract has been null and void for months. The contract states that if acceptance is declined by Phoenix Exteriors for any reason, all deposited monies will be refunded by Phoenix Exteriors. They declined to abide by this contract & have declined to refund all monies. The contract also states that any modifications to this contract which change the cost, materials, work to be performed, or the estimated completion date must be in writing & signed by all parties. We never signed the proposed changes. Because these breaches on their part, we are owed our $5,496.61 which they are illegally still holding and refusing to refund. Phoenix is also lying when they stated funds are released. No funds have ever been released to us. Company later claimed they released funds minus their cancellation fees they will determine. The only funds that will be accepted to be released is the $5,496.61. If this is not received, we will be forced to sue for additional damages your company's negligence has caused our roof. Pictures attached are what Phoenix has left us with, including the highly stressful situation they created.

They were very fast on response came next week after my call. Juan Vasquez is great he came with his guy and found the problem and checked for others and found one more explained everything to me saw that it was a small problem that we don’t want to get worse & the fixed it immediately with no charge. I don’t normally do reviews but I’m so happy with Juan any Phoenix that I have to thank them some way. So thank you Juan for everything that you did and for explaining in detail.

My roof was installed 6 years ago and has leaked on and off since then. This last time I called at the end of June. They came out within a few days, assessed the situation and had a plan to repair the leak. After weeks of excuses as to why they could not keep their appointments ( weather related is completed understood), they told me they had to now give me an estimate to fix the leak. That was on July 26th. As of this writing ( 8/27/18) they still have not contacted me or made arrangements to offer an estimate to repair. In additional several calls to their main office and emails ( including through Angies List) remain unanswered.

Phoenix Exteriors was a godsend. They donated their time and money to help us. We are a small nonprofit called the HALT Club in Yorkville that provides a meeting place for twelve step recovery meetings like AA, NA, CA, and DRA. Our roof had been damaged last year in a storm. Our insurance company only paid a small amount for a temporary fix, which we did. But we could not afford to have the proper permanent repairs done. The first company came to patch it up but 5 months later the roof started leaking again and the water damaged the 2 story ceiling which we had to rip out. We weren’t sure what to do or how we were going to pay to fix it. Steve and his team at Phoenix Exteriors heard of our predicament and offered to help. They were amazing and donated all the materials and labor. They not only fixed the damage they redid the whole roof which included tearing off all the old shingles and replacing the damaged plywood underneath. They were very professional and had the whole job was done very quickly. We highly recommend them not only for their superior work but because of their generous and kind hearts. Steve guided us thru the insurance claim process and kept us posted as the project progressed. This is a professional outfit that does what they said they would do. Steve returned to fix a couple of minor outstanding items and we are completely satisfied. I would hire them again. Good job well done!

We needed a new roof on the house we bought a few years ago, and it was finally time to do the project. I got quotes from several of the highly rated and recommended providers around town. Theirs wasn't the lowest, but I ended up choosing Phoenix based on the hustle they showed during the quote process, and being upfront about issues that would result in an extra cost but were nonetheless required to do the job properly. When the date arrived for the project, they showed up early with a large crew, and got the job almost entirely done in a day (one additional follow-up day was required for some additional awnings, etc.). Throughout the process, they took care of our house and cleaned up well after each day. I highly recommend speaking to them for any roofing project, since they seem to know what they're doing, are very friendly and easy to work with, and follow up to make sure it was done well.

5 years ago, we had Phoenix Exteriors replace the roof and siding. They did an excellent and quick job on the siding. Recently we discovered that a small piece of siding had fallen. I contacted them and they had someone come by and quickly reinstall the piece free of charge. Would gladly recommend them for siding. Jeff Edwards was lovely and so helpful.

Extremely professional roofing company. We had some storm damage to our roof and gutters and Phoenix handled the repair from start to finish. They made the entire process and repair painless and worry free. From working with our insurance company the adjusters and scheduling the repair, they took a stressful situation and made it stress free. We are very pleased with our decision to go with Phoenix. They did a great job on the roof & cleaned up all trash in 1 day. The awnings were on order but when they came in, were installed the next day. Great job!

It went well. Steve the project manager explained the process to me and walked me through every step. The crew arrived on time and completed the work in 2 days. I know it must have been very hot for them but they were quite cheerful anyway. Throughout construction the the construction manager Raivis oversaw everything and made sure it was done right. I would highly recommend them.

Initially the general contractor, German Reyes, was very personable, but spoke very fast. When I ask about commitments he had given, he denied them, stating I should know better. He said I had no right to criticize his men's work. (My property, my insurance paying.) His men pulled out a panel of my neighbor's fence to enter her yard, walked all over her lily garden, and dislodged a fence post. German said insurance would not cover damage. I called State Farm Insurance Claims, explaining the situation. They said he does not speak for them and, of course, they will cover the damages. His conduct was not professional.

Everything went great. Jeff Edwards is very friendly and helpful! He was great at working with our insurance company. There were a lot of shingle choices and we picked a really nice one. The men arrived on time and the job was done quickly. We really like our new roof! Approximate cost $6,000.

The staff was friendly & courteous they kept the ground clean & put tarps down to keep my shingles out of the flower beds.
