Mr Grout

Mike is the nephew of the prior owner and his Uncle was more skilled Mike's work was good but not great. In bath he estimated to replace a cracked floor tile and re-glue 3-4 others. When I heard the racket and came up to see he had pulled up about 25 tiles. When questioned why he said when taking up others those came up too I explained that he should have informed me at to the new extent of the work so I could approve as the cost would increase. He also broke 2 more tiles in removing them. Luckily I had about 10 extras In the end I agreed to $750 vs the original quote of $635 After he'd gone and I had a chance to fully inspect the tiles some were improperly lined up but not substantially. His re-caulking was overall good but not perfect. His Uncle, the former Mr Grout was awesome and his work was perfect and I was impressed when he finished A nice man and timely and I might use him again

I never received a response to my inquiry from the contractor Original inquiry was placed 2.5 weeks ago. I had responded to Angies list Emails about status and advised that i did not have any response. But no Followup from Angies List either.

He did a good job. Pleasant, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. I did get lower project quotes, however I wasn't confident in the quality of their knowledge and work. Mr. Grout offered a fair price and the ablity to recognize and fix a problem. Recommended.

Matt is excellent. This is the third time I've used him. I did ask him to use a premium caulk this time around (lasts years longer than regular). He went out and bought it, used it, and left the rest with me. I paid him for the caulk ($25 vs $7 for a regular grade), got a great deal with an AngiesList coupon, and he did his usual beautiful job.

Matt is a class act. We have used his services multiple times in the past, and as long as he is around, we will continues to do so. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Matt was very professional - he called me up the day before to remind me and was on time on the day. He took the time to fix things, including some extra work that we didn't anticipate (additional tile that needed replacement). All the while, he was great to talk to, and he even gave me tips on cleaning the grout. I will definitely use his services again when I need it, and I highly recommend him.

Everything went great. Matt is very nice and polite, and did a great job for a reasonable price. He worked completely unsupervised, as I was at work with my wife home in a wheelchair due to a broken leg. I was very pleased.

Well first of all, the price of $600 was ridiculous for working 4 hours. I thought it was terribly out of line for the mediocre work. Each location that was to be worked on needed me to point out deficiencies. Splashed excess grout, missed spots. I thought for the price, he would have been much more careful and accurate. He seemed to be anxious to leave and take his money. He estimated the job based on a site survey and said he would need to be there all day. When he finished at 1pm, I was shocked to see that his hourly rate was online with an attorney.

Matt did a wonderful job working with us to not only clean the grout, but to also recolor it, which gives it an almost new appearance. Matt also took care of recaulking areas that needed it. Matt was very responsive to our inquiries and does a great job of following up. He was very prompt and cleaned up after the work was finished each day. We would highly recommend and would use again when the need arises.

Matt was wonderful! He called the night before to remind me of the appointment. He was prompt in arriving and his estimate for the time it would take to complete the job was spot on. He's very personable and both my husband and I felt comfortable with him. He also really knows his business. The bathroom looks brand new! It's a large bathroom, and he did not miss anything. The grout in the floor is white again, the tiles are spotless, every bit of ugly black dirt in the shower was completely removed, and the seals around the glass doors are perfect. He removed old caulking, and his caulk lines are much smaller and look great. He even caulked around our tub which wasn't even on the work order. We are thrilled that we went with Matt. It is his business and he takes great pride in his workmanship and his knowledge. If you need tile/grout/bathroom work done, Matt is the person you want!

They did perfectly! They were very personable, very efficient, and did much better that the original installers!

It went well from start to finish. Matt & his wife arrived right on time at 10:00 am. They worked well as a team. Matt worked on the upstairs bathroom & his wife on the 1st floor bathroom. They took no breaks & finished in the early afternoon. The job looked great when they were done. I will use Mr Grout again in the future.

WORK WENT WELL. MR GROUT ARRIVED ON TIME & COMPLETED THE JOB WITHIN A FEW HOURS. BOTH BATHROOMS LOOKED LIKE THE TILE WAS BRAND NEW WHEN HE WAS FINISHED. CLEANED UP & WAS ON TO HIS NEXT JOB. WANTED TO WAIT TO WRITE A REVIEW TO SEE HOW THE TILES HELD UP. THEY STILL LOOK GREAT AFTER ALMOST A YEAR OF USE .

We applied extra sealant around the shower tiles to provide a temporary fix. We left a message for Mr. Grout on Friday and Matt called back that same day. Matt stopped by on Monday before his first job to look at the tiles. He suggested this would be a 1/2 day job and gave us a quote. We set up an afternoon appointment in the next month to do the work. Matt came by as scheduled and repaired our shower tile wall. He did the work himself and was happy to explain each step to me when I came by to see his progress. Matt is friendly and outgoing. Matt took off the problem old tiles and scraped off the old caulking. He cleaned each tile, added some backboard to areas where it was missing, reapplied the tiles with grout, and then re-caulked the shower stall. He cleaned up after he was done. Matt took off and reapplied new caulking around the shower stall. Matt recommended waiting 24 hours before using the shower due to the new caulking - we waited 36 hours. We used the shower and no leak. The new caulking was well done - you would never know that these tiles were redone. Great job.

Super friendly, fast & efficient!

Very responsive. He came out to look at the job and quickly diagnosed the problem. He scheduled the work and was very prompt. The work was done quickly and the cleanup was superb. Great guy to chat with too.

Matt was wonderful to work with. He was prompt, responsive, efficient, friendly and very professional. It was a pleasure having him and his wife working in our home. The final product was great. Our floor looks as good as new.

Matt repaired & cleaned our shower tiles & grout. It looks great! He (and his wife) were on time, courteous, and very professional. This is the second time I have hired him & will call him again if I need any other repairs.
