BELA Plumbing & Sewer Inc

This company is hugely disappointing. I have had them several times out to my house. They are bad with phone follow up often requiring multiple phone calls. When my part took 2 weeks to come in to repair a leaky faucet, I had to call them twice only to find out that it had been in for five days and they were going to make us wait another three to install it. I can't imagine what the wait would have been if I hadn't called. They also had me wait at my house for a 8 a..m. -12 p.m. window for three visits. The first two visits they showed up well past 11. Is a four hour window really necessary, especially first thing in the morning? Other vendors I've worked with have provided much more reasonable windows. Then for the 3rd visit they bailed at 10:45 a.m.--In other words, I wasted 2.75 hours of my day at home WAITING, dropped my daughter off earlier than necessary to daycare, and generally inconvenienced my whole day. Completely unacceptable. I would not have continued using them outside of our home warranty making it mandatory. if you have any choice, do not use this company.

They never showed me the actual root ball that was clogging the pipe and the did not follow proper procedure with the Village for inspection before backfilling the dirt. The village said "they know better than to do that". Later when we had the line inspected by another plumbing company, they mentioned that they did a few things "in an odd way."

They showed up on time, and the work was done fine. Everything seems to be fixed.

The first guy that came replaced the o-ring quickly and got the parts for the shower. The second guy, which I think is the owner, never came back to finish the job. I did have an appointment but had to cancel. Owner gave me a 4 hour time window, but said he could not show up til the last 30 minutes of that four hour window. Called to reschedule and all was well...until he lost contact. Called over 5 times throughout 2 months and left 4 voicemails. Got in contact with him once and said he would call me back since he was on the road - never did. Had to call another plumbing company who got the job done (plus much more) for less.

.They were on time and were direct with explaining what the issues were. I didn't really have any dislikes.

We lost confidence in Bela and ended up calling another plumbing company who fixed the problem and also found a part of Bela's rodding equipment in the sewer pipe. We ended up having to pay a second plumber and pay for carpet cleaning and sanitizing.  We contacted Bela and asked for a refund of the money we paid to them ($150).  Although we were told we would have a refund, its been well over a month and we have heard nothing and have no response to my email.

The inspection technician, rodded the pipes once again, this time with water flowing and the rodding was much more effective.  After this rodding effort we could clearly see the pipe wall in both directions and conclude that the pipe walls were in tact and that the roots were removed from the line.  Clearly they may return, but since the trees in the area have been removed, hope to eventually see roots become less of a problem.  Drains are working fine not and we understand rodding may be necessary again but we were able to avoid digging up and replacing the sewer lines.

i got a 2nd estimate to see if their quote was good or not. i wont name the plumber i got 2nd quote from but they were higher rated and local to my suburb. and their quote was twice as much. so i obviously went w Bela. i recently bought this house so i knew the pipes were not up to code. the Bela guys were honest and didnt try to hose me. the other estimate i got the dude was trying to blow smoke up my well you know what. anyways Bela sent 2 dudes that were young in their mid 20s. they got to my house early. they were done in about the time they said it would take, approximately 1.5 hours. they were really good guys. very professional. and after 2 months the work is still holding up. so i got estimates from them for my water heater. when i need to get that done, i will definitely be going back to them. and for anything else i need. i recommend these guys. at least i would recommend the dudes i had. but even the scheduler lady was awesome, she called me back at like 7 pm even when they close at like 530. great service all around.

Sunday morning with lots of laundry to do, we awoke to find water backing up into our basement laundry room.  We were not even able to use the bathroom facilities at this point.  I called one plumbing house without response.  I was afraid I wouldn't find anyone to help until Monday.  Fortunately Bela plumbing just half a mile from my house answered the phone and came out within a couple hours to clear the clog from our sewer line.  I did not mind the price, because I would have had to move for a day to a hotel, then have the sewer rodded Monday anyway.  And now I have some peace of mind having these helpful gentlemen close down the road.

The technician checked more than I asked him to do. He was very responsible, professional, and gave outstanding service!

I set up an appointment a week  in advance for Friday at 9:30 am.  I told provider that I would need to take off work for this appointment.  I had family coming over for the first Thanksgiving that my wife and I would host.  I had some minor plumbing issues that I wanted to fix before Thanksgiving.  On the day of the appointment at 9:30 nobody showed up.  I called the plumber's office and asked if he was running late.  He was.  I was told the plumber would be there between 10:15 to 10:30.  At 10:30, the plumber still has not arrived.  I called the plumber's office and was told the plumber would be right there.  Nobody showed up until 11:30.  The plumber that was sent over had no idea what he was supposed to do even though I had told the plumber's office last week what I would like done at this appointment.  The plumber had not brought the steel braided hoses to be installed on the washing machine.  He fixed the toilet that had a flushing problem and fixed the Master Bath bathtub flow issues.  The plumber that worked in my house was very nice.  When I told him that I had a 9:30 initial appointment, he apologized.  It appeared that the 9:30 appointment time was news to the plumber.  The plumber also told me that he was never told about the steel braided hoses for the washing machine.  The plumber was there for a half hour but charged me for a full hour because that is their minimum which would be fine if the plumber had completed everything that I had requested to be done.  Basically, I was overcharged for their failure to adequately prepare for my service call.  I also took  valuable vacation time for a half hour service call that didn't solve all of my plumbing issues and will necessitate me taking more vacation time in the future.  I called the plumber's office at 1:30 and let them know that I was  going to write this review and to give them an opportunity to complete the requested service call.  I never heard back from the plumber's office.

They were early, courteous and genuinely concerned.  They took their shoes off and went to great lengths to clean up after themselves.  Problem was fixed in short order.  I never actually thought I would say "it was a pleasure" to work with a plumber, but Bela was great.

Dan is very responsive, even after hours and on the weekend. The prices are unbeatable.

It was a Friday night. He came over within less than an hour; very reasonable with after-hours pricing. Very happy with his services and demeanor. We have since called him back to fix a leaking toilet. A pleasure to work with and someone finally trustworthy.

They are very honest. The price is good and the quality of work is excellent. They also worked on our rental property. They were good with the tenants and the explained everything. I was very impressed with them.

He was very good, efficient and fair. He showed up when he said he would and was a very good plumber. He was very honest and forthcoming with his opinion of my situation. I will call Bela again when I need a plumber.
