Dan was able to perfectly replace the drywall with a single sheet. The project took a few days to complete. From the day he came to provide an estimate through the days that the repairs took place, Dan communicated his schedule and what the project entailed every step of the way. He also recommended how to prime the completed wall, which I followed, and it turned out perfectly - You wouldn't know there had ever been work done there. Highly recommended, and I would definitely choose to work with Dan again.

Really happy with the work. Looks great. Dan was pleasant and easy to work with. Was especially pleased with how clean he kept the work area. Drywall work can be very messy but Dan kept the dust down to a very low level. Would not hesitate to hire again.

I hired Ace Drywall at the recommendation of fellow Angie's List members. Dan came out on a Saturday morning to take a look at the job and provide a quote. He took the time to explain everything that needed to be done and why and show me types of jobs they have completed. The job was completed over 3 days--about 7 hours total. He and Mike were friendly and arrived on time each morning and cleaned up after they were done. Total cost came in less than he quoted me so that was a pleasant surprise and I appreciated his honesty. Well worth the money to hire people who have been doing this for 30 + years. I am very pleased with the results and would definitely recommend Dan and Mike.

The job was done very well. They were here on time every day and were very clean and courteous. I especially appreciated Dan's expert advise when it came to patching other small areas in our home. I highly recommend Ace Drywall.

Dan and his crew did a great job adapting the installation to the quirks of an old house. I thought it was a fair estimate. They were punctual finished the job on schedule and always cleaned up.

I had originally contacted Dan to come out and replace the drywall in a section of my basement  where I had removed a wall's worth of hideous paneling.  He came out to quote the job but was unable to do the work because the old owner had done out-of-code electrical when he finished the basement.  Dan was very professional about the situation and didn't charge the fee for the quote since he couldn't do the work.  He told me to call an electrician and when the electric was to code, I could call back.  Got the electric fixed and called Dan back.  He came out that weekend to quote the new job (now MORE drywall because the electrician had to cut out the bottom part of the walls to run pipe for the electrical to get up to code.  Dan quoted a fair price for the work and was able to start that week.  He came over the course of 3 days to hang, mud and sand the drywall, leaving progress notes every evening - and the end result is EXCELLENT.  Even though it was only a portion of the room, the new drywall (and small crack repairs I added in) make the room look like new!  I would definitely recommend Ace Drywall/Dan for drywall work to anyone - an old-school, honest, professional that takes pride in his work!!

Dan was very courteous and professional. He even offered to come early for the estimate so I wouldn't be inconvenienced by missing any work. I didn't think that $30 was unreasonable for the estimate at all if you are serious about getting the work done. Besides he takes it off the balance due so I am not out anything additional. They were very efficient and got the job done in just a few days. They were very careful in keeping things clean so there was very little dust afterwards. The quality of the job was exceptional. He was the first and only quote I received but I felt that the price was reasonable for the pleasant experience and results I received. No stress, trust and quality work are things I value in a contractor. I am looking forward to hiring him in the spring to do another room!

Dan was excellent.  Took the time with the initial meeting to walk through the entire house and help educate us on what has caused some of the drywall decay, as well as how he would approach the repair if we chose him as the provider.  Once we went with him, he was very prompt, always early to the appointment, showed up when he said he would, and extremely professional.  The cost did not jump during or after the repairs and Dan was kind enough to even fix a couple blemishes for free that were on our wall that were not included in the price.  We are very satisfied with the work!

Very reasonable price and did an excellent job.  The mudding and sanding was perfect and everything looks great!  Crew was very nice, clean, informative and prompt.  The job took 4 days to complete but they were on the job the most the first two days.  The remaining 2 days were for a couple hours at a time for sanding.

The initial quote went very smoothly. The owner came and gave a lot of advice on what needed to be done and what did not need to be done. He listened to my budget concerns and did not try to oversell or do more than needed. I found that refreshing.
The work was well done. Now one cannot tell that there was a problem to begin with.
My wife was home over the three days when the work was done. She was not pleased with the behavior of the workers. They cursed at times and also made gratuitous comments on the quality of the paint job. This is not professional, and it the reason I am giving an overall grade of B. Otherwise I am satisfied.
