DunGone Animal Waste Removal

DunGone is...done GONE
Last March I contracted with DunGone for one year of waste removal for two dogs, for which I pre-paid $527.64. 
The contract specified "two [2] visits per month, occuring [sic] every other week". It further specified that my "scheduled visit day is Mondays".
The work was done well and I was pleased with the service. DunGone, however, did not follow the contracted schedule of Monday visits, nor was i told about any schedule changes. Since I had no reliable information on if/when service would be performed, I asked that a receipt or "door tag" (as mentioned on their website) be left when service was done.
Jerry Johnson repeatedly agreed, both in person and in e-mails, to provide door tags at time of service. 
I have neither seen or heard from Jerry Johnson or anyone else from DunGone since the week of July 10th. By the contract that he wrote, "Your final week of service for this invoice will occur the week of April 8, 2013. A complimentary spring clean up is also included in your invoice to occur on or about March 21, 2013." I  sent 10 e-mails between mid-August and September 6th and received no reply either in person, by e-mail, or by phone. 
DunGone was prepaid (by their contract) for 24 visits. I show 9 verifiable visits. I sent Jerry Johnson a letter saying that I want to end the contract (since he had breached its terms) and be reimbursed. The letter was sent certified, return receipt. That letter has been returned to me as he did not pick it up at the post office, though the USPS notified him twice that it was there.
Jerry Johnson did not keep his word. He got his money upfront and then broke the contract. He owes me $286.65. 
My money, like Jerry Johnson, is done GONE.
