Vons Electric Inc

Vons Electrical was brought in to perform electrical work by a general contractor. This was during a remodel. We had the ceilings and walls pulled down, so they had easy access to perform the work requested. The recessed lighting was installed to our satisfaction, and placed as requested. The problem came in with the switch plates. The lights are supposed to be controlled by 2 or 3 switches. The had to run new wire for one of the switch plates, then had to move the wire because the technician didn't follow directions. Luckily, no walls, no problem. The switches do not work together correctly. They need to be in a specific sequence to work, which means only one set of switches actually does work. I wish I'd thought to check this, before having the drywall put back. They also ran electrical to a new island, and that was done correctly. There was only one switch for the garbage disposal, so I suppose this was an easier task.

Work was done well and timely.

The installation of the fan boxes went very well. Larry showed up right on time and was very professional. He worked efficiently and left no mess. Flawless installation with no damage or scuffed paint in any of the rooms. Would use Von's again for additional electrical needs.

I had electric people come in and it is called Vons Electric Inc. The experience with them went fine. They were on time. They were very nice. They were very accommodating. They asked me if I wanted it this way or the other way and they changed them around for me. It was a burden for them to fill my requests. I thought that it was good pricing though I don't have a lot to compare it to, they were here an hour and a half maybe. They are very nice. They didn't really supply any materials. It was all only labor. The end result was good.

Went well. All concerned were satisfied.

Provider was prompt and professional. He assessed and resolved my electrical issues. He cleaned up afterward. I would use him again.

He's been really good. They were on time. They came when they said they were going to. The job took as long as they said it was going to take. It didn't cost any more than their estimate. They were just really nice and friendly when they came out. They took care of everything and even helped us out with more stuff that we weren't expecting but they took care of that and didn't charge us for it. It was great.

Get everything in writing. Even after the fact the owner said I had to get the itemized details from my builder (who does not carry through --he ignores these requests, I do not even know most of the workers because they came with unmarked vehicles) The person who consulted with me told me what he was going to do and he did not do all the things he said. I'm rather angry. They nicely said these "1000 worth of upgrades" (the builder told me) they would give me for free when I commented they did not wire one of the external lights and etc. (the guy tried to tell us someone else put the electrical box up there, it was in the plans that he was to go by)..I asked all three reps if they would send an Internet, phone and audio/video cable when they did the wiring...that was not done till I reminded them after they were supposedly finished ...they left a hole that builder said he told them to make sure it was filled, by the incoming pipe and my Mom was horrified that a mouse got in the house, probably through this hole by the pipe (the good thing came from that, i have to say, she let me bring my cat to stay). I talked to three people, also the owner...later in the email letter the guy said I changed my mind each time. That was hardly the case. The price was so expensive I was very careful what I asked for. This might be the builder's fault...but the nasty email was not professional. We have this huge loft and my cousin said he could not believe how shabbily they wired...at some points the conduit is 3 inches above so that you would lose all that space and have to build up the floor, it was too late to call them back, but he said no way would he have let them get away with this. I do not think the builder nor the owner even checked the work. I have to say the electrical works and they were nice enough to write in bigger letters as requested what was in the breaker box.....as requested. I am just saying get everything in writing so you are not disappointed and so all the workers know what was discussed. I was down with bronchitis (er coughing up blood) through the middle of this, my Mom is doing weekly chemo and I have no help...so I depended on my builder and I feel let down. dec 29, 2010 I had outlet fixed in front of outside of garage, the electrician said that somehow the grounding wire was not there. He said it will keep going out due to this, the tester did not light up two lights. I wish i would have thought to check all the outlets after they installed. Still stumbling over the crude conduit they left in the loft, 3 inches above floor level. 8-( Otherwise, the electric works, thanking them for that.

He is an excellent electrician. He does all kinds of electrical work. I have an old stone house. There are some weird problems that have to be taken care of in an old house. He can do it about three times faster than any other electrical contractor.
