The Grout Medic

"I personally did this job. It was done thoroughly and according to the work scope. The customer declined to have his shower re-grouted and chose to have it cleaned, sealed, and re-caulked. When I arrived at his house to do the work he asked me if I was going to take out all the grout. I explained to him that he asked to have it cleaned sealed and re-caulked and showed him the work order that he approved. The customer at that time could have changed the work scope to a re-grout but chose to stay with the clean and seal. His tile and grout both had heavy mildew and the grout lines were jagged and not uniform from the original installation the customer doing his own patchwork over the years. **Cleaning will not make grout lines uniform - just clean.** But in spite of all that was going on in his shower, I cleaned up everything and treated his shower for mold and mildew. When I was done his shower was mold and mildew free and re-caulked seamlessly. When I showed him the shower he was very happy and said the job looked great and paid me. I have left this customer several messages to discuss this but he has not called me back. My only thought is that he was thinking that the cleaning would make his grout lines uniform. However, that is not true. If the customer has buyer remorse, I have no problem giving him a credit on the clean and seal and applying it to the upgrade price of a re-grout. I stand behind all work that I do!!!!"
