Perfect. The quote was itemized and we knew exactly what to expect. We called the references and heard nothing but positive feedback and that they would use Royal Builders again and some had. We were given a detailed schedule from start to finish with what would happen each day and who would be there, the construction workers, the plumber, the electrician, the painter. They were always on time and professional. We would use Royal Buiders again. They were great!

We are finished our basement and Royal Builders was one of the companies we brought out to get a quote from. Even though we did not choose Royal Builders, my overall experience with them during the process was good. Lance came out a couple times and did the measurements and estimates. He helped answer a lot of questions and was enjoyable to work with. I will consider using Royal Builders for future projects.

Avoid. Two brothers, one estimates job, the other manages. The estimating brother is inept. The day after demolition, they wanted to triple (!) the plumbing portion of the bathroom remodel. Plumbing problems (galvanized pipe mainly) were plainly evident when the estimate was made, walls had been removed. There should not have been any surprises. They seemed to be surrpised that a client would balk at this. I made the mistake of giving them 60% down for the job, per the contract. Way too much and out of line with usual practice. I didn't know any better but a good lesson was learned. My error. A several week fight over the refund of the deposit followed, this could have been avoided if I had been more careful about how much to put down originally. While trying to resolve the plumbing upcharge on the phone, the estimator said he gave me a low quote because we were friends with a previous client. A low quote to get the job doesn't do me any good when the cost balloons on day one. That was not confidence inspiring. Remember, this was day one. We parted ways less than amicably, I found a plumber to do the job at the original quote and passed the city inspection with no problems. I would not recommend Royal to anybody.

THEY WERE THE MOST COMPETITIVE AND REALISTIC OUT OF THREE FINAL BIDS. REFERENCES WERE GREAT AND THE PERSONALITY OF THE CONTRACTOR WAS A PERFECT FIT. VERY RESPECTFUL AND TOOK THE TIME TO DO IT RIGHT. KEPT THE JOB ON A TIGHT SCHEDULE.
