Overall the job went great. During the deciision making stage Steve was great to work with and bent over backwards to get us actual sample shingles to use to help us make our final decision on the color to go with, as we could not decide based on the brochure that came with the proposal. He was very accomodating on allowing us to use a solar attic fan in lieu of the fan that he quoted and gave us a credit on our contract price. Preferred also worked around the weather issues that delayed the original date and was accomodating on when we could reschedule. We chose to do it on a Saturday due to rain that was scheduled for the original day before (which it did rain). The crew was there promptly at 7 AM and proceeded to get the entire job done by 5:30PM. The job was completed and our yard was completely spotless of any scrap materials, nails, etc. This is the best clean up job of any contractor I have worked with. In addition, Steve stopped by on Sunday afternoon to inspect the job and do a walk around to look for any stray nails or materials, which took about 20 mins. He spoke with me to make sure that everything was to my satisfaction. I did call Steve back to have him adjust the solar panel on the attic fan to get a better angle to the sun and he sent out someone promptly with no questions asked, at no charge. Overall very satisfying experience with Steve. Everything was handled professionally and more importantly in a true business fashion. There was no begging for downpayments or pressure for payments and the other song and dance you typically encounter with contractors. I would definitely use Preferred again.

Our home sustained significant damage during a hail storm this summer and after speaking with several repair companies we selected Preferred Roofing. Steve, the owner of the company, provided us with the initial estimate and assisted us with the selection of all of the materials. Steve made several recommendations that not only improved the curb appeal of our home but also resulted in functionally superior material than the materials his crew replaced. Before the work began, Steve made sure that we were comfortable with our choices and that we understood exactly what was going to happen and when to expect the commencement and completion of the work. As the start date approached, Steve reached out to us to make sure the anticipated start date was convenient for us and when the work began his crew kept in touch with us so we understood the schedule. Notwithstanding the brutal summer heat, Charlie, the foreman, and his crew stayed on the job without complaint. The job took several days to complete and at the end of each day, the crew made sure the work area was clean and safe. At the completion of the job we did a thorough walk-through with Steve where he explained the work that was completed and made sure that we were pleased with the product. After years of dealing with contractors, it was a pleasure working with a group who did what they said they would do by when they said they would do it.

Overall I would rate this company an A++. The workers showed up in the morning at the time we were told they would be here. They checked in with us and briefed us on exactly what would happen. They put away our potted plants for us and covered our Japanese maple with a tarp so it would not get damaged. They worked their butts off for the rest of the day. The foreman gave us several updates and assured us that they would finish the entire project that day. They were done on time and did a great job cleaning up afterwards. The house and yard was cleaner than before the project started. The guys did a great job searching the yard for nails with their "big magnet thing on wheels" The new roofs look great. Steve did everything exactly as he said he would. Great job Preferred Roofing - thank you for our new roofs !!! I look forward with working with them on several other projects in the future.

Steve called me back relatively quickly. I happened to metion that I was having other work done, and Steve told me he used to be a general contractor and could assist me with anything else I needed also. That was great since I had several other projects that I needed help with around my new house. We set up an appointment for 10 AM-12 PM the next day. I waited for Steve, but he never showed up and didn't call. Around 12:30-1 PM, I called the office and he called back and apologied for not showing up. He said he got cought up at another job. We rescheduled for 8 AM the next day. He called back again and said something else came up and he needed to reschedule again. I told him that I could wait for him after a 9 AM appointment. He agreed to come after his appointment ending at 10 AM. He was not too far and it should only take 45 minutes at the most in my opinion. At 10:18 AM he called me and said he was leaving and would be at my place within the hour. After about 45 minutes he called and asked me if it was raining by me. I told him it wasn't. He said ok and he'd be here shortly. Another 15 minutes passed and he called again and said the storm was heading my way and he can't go up on the roof if it's raining. I completely understand that. I'm not asking the guy to get struck by lightening or fall off the roof in the rain. It still wasn't raining and he really should have been there by then anyway. I told him since he should be close why not come by anyway and look at the other projects I have for him and take a look at the leak from inside to even see if he thought it might be the roof. He said no since if it is the roof he would have to make two trips, "and that wouldn't make any sense". APPARENTLY HIS TIME IS WORTH A WHOLE LOT MORE THAN MY TIME. He offered to try to come out on Sunday. I think I have wasted enough time waiting for this guy that never showed up. After waiting around for 4 hours total I declined and will have to find someone else. P.S. It did start raining about a half hour after our last phone call.

Absolutely wonderful service. Very hands-on. The person who initially came out to give us an estimate, Charlie Hersey, was the same person who supervised the job from beginning to end, including spotless clean-up. We had several contractors come out to give us estimates, and Charlie from Preferred was the only one who climbed up on the roof and into the attic. The job was performed very timely and thoroughly. If we had questions when they weren't here, Charley would drive over to our house to see if there was a problem and/or make a tweak to make us happy. We would recommend Preferred Roofing any time.

On the appointed date, I had a carload of workers sitting outside my house at 7:30 in the morning. The lead worker, rang my doorbell and introduced himself and wanted to make sure I had my car removed from the garage, so it didn't get trapped in for the day. As part of the team was climbing on the room to begin the teardown, others were tarping all the plants and bushes around the house to protect them from falling shingles. An hour or so later Ken showed up to introduce himself, check on the progress of the team and make sure that I was satisfied with the progress. He explained what they were doing, made sure I had his contact information and encouraged me to call him if I had any questions. He explained that he would be back and forth several times throughout the day (which he was) to check on progress but to call him at any time. The team (4-6) worked hard and steady. As most of the team was on the roof throughout the day, there was always someone don on the ground, picking up trash, making sure my plants were OK, and looking for nails and debris. They completed the roofing, by around 4 pm that same day, and then spent the next couple of hours looking for nails, using both bar magnets and eyeballs! There was no "roof's done, see ya later". They (the entire team, including Ken!) were carefully looking to ensure everything was picked up and put back together.... as if it was their own house! Since then we've had a couple of good rains and everything appears to be fine. No leaks!

I was very happy with my choice. Steve was the only roofing company that made sure to come out and physically meet with me. He explained everything well. He was professional and friendly and easy to talk to. He actually took a few minutes to try to fix my garage door for me. My gutter over my garage was also bent from prior roofers and he took the time to fix that. I thought his price was fair. He was not the lowest but not the highest. The work was done as promised and looks good. I am very pleased with the whole experience.

I was and am very satisfied with the quality of the work, the timeliness of the work, the protection of our landscaping, and the clean-up after the roof was installed. The crews started early and worked hard all day long. I highly recommend this contractor!

Steve was very prompt and professional in giving us his very competitive bid. He was able to get his crew to work very soon after that. They were also very prompt and professional and got the work done without any problems. The overall experience was relatively painless.

I couldnt be any happier with the work provided by Steve and his crew from start to finish. They were on time, very polite and above board ensuring all surrounding areas where protected and not damaged. Steve took the time to answer all my questions and concerns (and there were many) which really gave me peace of mind that I had made the right choice. Preferred did a first class, professional job. They are certified as an Owens-Corning installer, so when you buy a roof from them you get a complete system from a single manufacturer instead of parts and pieces from various manufacturers. They were not the lowest competitive bid I received, however their bid included the full manufacturer's warranty for no additional charge. The cost of the building permit was also included in their base bid. I would absolutely use them again for future projects.

Mike Creuziger came out to provide a quote from Preferred Roofing and not only came out to our house quickly, but was extremely helpful and professional. Given the scope of work that needed to be done, as well as the overall expected cost, we collected 3 quotes. Preferred Roofing was the last. Mike was not only the only person to video and later show me what he saw on our roof, but also the only person to determine what had happened on our roof to cause it to "go bad" before it should have - the power vent was no longer operational. None of the other highly recommended roofing companies either noticed this problem or told me about it when they came down off the roof to provide a quote. Once we decided to go with Preferred Roofing, Mike came back out to our house to finalize the contract and help us to choose the appropriate tile color. The job was scheduled quickly, appropriate permits were issued, and Mike checked in to update us on the weather forecast, rescheduling in a timely manner as needed. On the day of the job, Mike was there the whole time overseeing the project, and though it was hard to count all of the men there working at our house that day, there were probably close to 10 at any given time. Every person was respectful, professional, hard working, and very kind to me and my young children. At the end of the day, (yes, they finished everything in one day!) they went around and around our house carefully with a magnet to collect any excess staples or other materials that might be dangerous for our children. Heeding the warning of our friends and neighbors who had had their roof replaced, we were careful having the kids play outside in the grass in the weeks following the project. We never found one piece of debris after they left. It was amazing! After the men were finished cleaning up, Mike came in and finalized the paperwork and carefully went over our warranty and answered any questions we had. Similarly, he called the following week to make sure that everything was still ok and we were happy. Finally, we received a very kind thank you note in the mail recently from the owner Steve Case. We would highly recommend Preferred Roofing, and specifically, Mike Creuziger, to anyone who asked. Through all phases of the project, they were extremely kind, courteous and very professional. The roof looks great, and we have made it successfully through our first few rain storms without problem. Initially, we were very skittish about undertaking a project of this expense and scope, and were ultimately very pleased with our decision to hire Preferred Roofing and would do so again without hesitation.

I was absolutely sure that I was in need of a new roof so I called Preferred Roofing. Steve (Owner) came over to give me an estimate. To my surprise Steve informed me that I still have another 8 to 10 years left on my roof. Steve's professionalism, integrity, & honesty are second to none!

We can not say anything but good things about the entire process, it went smoothly, they were professionals from start to finish. The company reps kept me informed on every step and aspect of the job. Steve was very flexible with meeting with our board and our insurance agent to help make the whole process one of the easiest things our board has ever had to do! The laborers respected owners use of the property during the work day. They did what they said would be done without any hassles. We would definitely use them again!

We had Steve with Preferred Roofing & Exteriors out to provide us with an estimate for a new roof for our house; He let us know that that we would actually be fine to keep to our current roof for another 3-5 years. Wanted to write a review because we appreciated the honesty.

When I decided to have my house reroofed, I got quotes from 3 companies that were highly rated by Angie's list. Preferred's quote wasn't the lowest, but wasn't too far off. The third quote was 50% more. The reason I choose Preferred was the level of detail and professionalism of the person who came out to inspect my roof and provide the estimate, Mike Creuziger. Mike worked around my schedule for the initial visit and he did a very detailed inspection, including climbing up into my attic. Mike then came back out a couple days later to personally review the quote with me, and he patiently answered all my questions. The other 2 companies did a decent inspection, but then just emailed me a quote...and the quotes did not provide very much detail. The personal touch and level of detail gave me confidence that Preferred would do a great job. When the job was over, Preferred did do a great job. Mike was the project manager and coordinated the materials delivery and crew. I had some travel plans and Mike was very accommodating working with my schedule. The materials and crew showed up as scheduled and did a great job. During the removal of the old shingles, they discovered that some of the roofing plywood was delaminated and needed to be replaced (they took great pains to show me the bad plywood and explain the problem, additional cost, and let me decide how I wanted to proceed). They immediately had some plywood delivered, and replaced where needed. The job took longer, and the crew worked hard and finished as the sun was going down. The crew came back in the morning to finish cleaning up, and did a thorough job. Steve Case the owner also came by to do a final inspection and had his crew do a few extra things at no-cost like securing one of my gutters that has been a loose for years. Steve also grabbed the roller magnet and triple-checked the clean up all around the house. He was very pleasant and professional, and you could tell that as the owner, he took pride in exceeding a customers expectations. Overall, Preferred did an excellent job, and I am getting a quote from them for some additional soffit repair.

This company worked efficiently with the entire process of replacing my roof and gutters and working with my insurance. They knew and informed me that the entire job would take more than one day but were able to complete the second day ahead of originally scheduled. They did an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards and remained very professional the entire time.

From the start of our experience I was impressed by Steve and his company. He returned my call very promptly. He arranged very quickly for an estimate and preformed the job in a very timely manor. Even when we had some rain the day before they were set to start, they contacted me to make sure I knew that we would be pushed back a day due to the rain. The price was right on the spot. The crew worked hard and got the job done quicker than I expected. The job took two days and the night between they cleaned up buttoned up the roof. The crew was very professional and informative as well. I would definitely use them again as well as recommend them. A refreshing experience.

The estimate was right on par. They were very, very up front and thorough in the first meeting we had. I knew exactly what I was looking at. They have been very good to communicate with me throughout the process. They were friendly and when the workers got here, they even introduced themselves to me. They were here on time. They got the job done efficiently. The whole process was very smooth and easy.

Needed roof and siding work done due to a hail storm. Called to schedule an appointment and Steve came out soon after to give an estimate and scope out the work that needed to be performed. After choosing my shingle color Steve's crew was out a few days later and installed my new roof. Everything went smooth and am going to use Steve to do the siding on my house.

If I could rate this company an A+ in all categories I would do so!! First Preferred's owner Steve Case is wonderful and very sincere. He called me back within 5 minutes of an email request for information. Wow!! He was pleasant to talk with and was obviously very knowledgeable about what we needed to have completed and how to follow through with the insurance company. What a pleasure in comparison to others I called!! He called me almost daily getting the process in motion - and keeping me informed. The person in charge of the actual roof replacement was Charlie Hershey. Steve introduced us to Charlie via e-mail so the process remained seamless. They were never to busy to quickly respond to my on-site questions, phone calls, or emails! Charlie was also wonderful to work with, was on site every day to direct the work, and pitched in to help when the weather became threatening. It was obvious the on-site workers had great respect for him. He also completed most of the finishing work himself. Charlie's attention to detail was phenomenal. He made several suggestions for improvements on the roof that were right on target. The work was done quickly but I never felt the process was rushed and the end result was beautiful!! Charlie went above and beyond - even covering or painting our preexisting chimney and furnace vents as well as drain pipes to match the roof. Clean-up was very well done - they went over our yard multiple times to remove any nails and other debris. This review asks if we would have additional work done by this company - well I have already asked - and received - another bid to complete siding work in the future. You have a very satisfied customer here and I would recommend this company to anyone!! Thank you Preferred for another JOB WELL DONE!! The entire process was done professionally, thoroughly, beautifully, and timely. Kudos!!

Steve worked around my schedule to come out and give me an estimate on a Saturday morning. They were re-roofing our house about a week later. The crew arrived on time and they were extremely tidy. Steve went out of his way to help us find ways to save money where we could. Very professional.

Called and made an appointment for a Tuesday evening, salesman called early afternoon and asked to change appointment to following Sunday at 3:00 pm. Salesman called at 2:15 and said he had a family emergency. Not worth the effort for a 15,000 project.

Overall, it was a very positive experience. I used Angie?s List to find Preferred Roofing. Steve was upfront about pricing. He did not try to push any additional work. They were on-time and cleaned up very well before they left. Steve?s foreman kept me up to date on their progress?it took 1 ½ days to complete. Steve helped with the insurance forms and that process went off without a hitch. I would definitely recommend Preferred Roofing.
