Very friendly owner and a good salesman. They usually work on very high-end cars so I figured they would do a good job. The cars I saw looked good. We weren't in a hurry so I didn't really mind some delays, but he promised several completion dates/times that were not met, so that was frustrating. He could have just given me a true date and that would have been fine. When finished, the work looked pretty good, but was not up to my expectations; especially on the quarter panel that apparently had some work done many years ago. The finish on that panel was not smooth and you could tell it had been repainted. Maybe the average person wouldn't have noticed at a quick glance but it was far from perfect - certainly not something I would have expected from a shop that works on a lot of $100,000+ vehicles. The rest of the work looked pretty good, so we took the car. Fortunately, he has a lifetime guarantee. About 1 1/2 years later, that same quarter panel I didn't like developed bubbles and cracks in the paint. I brought it back and he said it was guaranteed and he would re-do it - no argument at all - very agreeable. Again, we got the promised completion dates and times that were not met over several days. When we went to pick-up the car, the detailer was finishing it up and I saw about a 10" wide section on the back bumper with scratches and white paint on it. Someone either hit the car or backed into something white. The owner wasn't there but one of his body guys came over, saw the problem, and buffed it out. Most of it looked o.k., but then I noticed some small cracks in the paint where the bumper joined the rest of the car. It was obvious whatever had hit the back of the car pushed the bumper in enough to cause that damage also. Again, you had to look close to see it, but it was there. When we got home, I also saw how bad a job the detailer had done - film left all over the finish, overspray from buffing and polishing compounds on rubber moldings and weatherstrpping, etc. - even on the glass sunroof. Just days before dropping the car off, I spent about 4 hours buffing and polishing the car myself and it was virtually spotless, so I know they did all this. I called the owners cell phone and left a message that the car had been hit or backed into while it was there and that the detailing was poor. I also said I obviously couldn't prove it happened there and whoever was responsible didn't volunteer that fact - it could have been another customer, but it still happened there. He never returned my call and I left it alone. I just decided I would buff out the car AGAIN so it was done right and just live with the other imperfections since they were not real apparent. I didn't feel like going through all the hassle again and it was his word against mine anyway. Don't let his friendly demeanor and seemingly agreeable nature fool you. He doesn't follow-up on the work, or doesn't care. I will not return or recommend this shop anyone who asks.
