Merlin 200,000 Miles Shop - St. Charles

Terrible! I had to call twice to see where they were at with the job after telling them I needed the van on a specific date. When I received the van back it sounded loud inside the van and smelled like exhaust. I explored and found the engine shroud was not attached. Then I discovered the latch was snapped off. When I took it back they said it was going to eventually break. I insisted they fix the latch they broke. They said it would cost too much to get the stock part so they would make something. They made a latch out of bending metal from a cheap trunk they bought at Meijer and again did fully attach the shroud. I took it back now the fourth time, and they adjusted their latch and I showed them how to put the shroud back on. The latch never held. I filled out their customer survey and got a free oil change. Don't go here if you have anything different than oil change or simple muffler pipe replacement!

WENT BACK BECAUSE HEARD A POPPING SOUND FROM FRONT PERIODICALLY IMMEDIATELY AFTER BRAKE REPAIR. TURNED OUT THERE WAS A BROKEN PART NEAR THE BRAKE. ALTHOUGH THE SHOP SHOWED US THAT THE BOLT WAS RUSTED, AND EXPLAINED THAT THE LIFTING OF THE CAR TO CHANGE THE BRAKES PROBABLY WAS JUST THE LAST STRAW THAT CAUSED THE PIECE TO ACTUALLY BRAKE, WITHDREW THE PRICE OF THE $60 PART AND ITS INSTALLATION. WE THOUGHT THIS WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND SIMPLY A GOOD WAY TO DO BUSINESS. ALSO, WHEN I NEEDED TO GET HOME DURING THE INITIAL BRAKE REPAIR, THEY WERE KIND ENOUGH TO LET ME USE THEIR MERLIN VAN.
