Bought a house in the suburbs that had a 19 year old air conditioner and a furnace that was a year old.  Knew I would have to replace air conditioner on purchasing the house.  Turned out the furnace was so noisy I had to turn up the volume on the television when it was running and it didn't do a good job heating the house.   

Conro was referred to me by three family members who have used them for years.  Told they are not the cheapest, but they are the best.  The first thing Mark Conro asked when he walked into the furnace room was "didn't you have a home inspector"?  (I had a home inspector but turns out he was terrible.  Missed major plumbing, electrical and these issues.)  Mark immediately noticed that copper piping was used for my gas lines, my hot water tank and furnace were not vented correctly allowing CO2 into the house, and that was within his first two steps into the room.  The year old furnace was so cheap that an energy efficient air conditioner could not be installed without major adaptions being made.  Mark did an extensive check and stated the existing air conditioner was old but in working order and the furnace did not have to be replaced.  Mark definitely did not do a "sales job".  Let me know what was needed for safety and code requirements.  

Since this will be by forever home, I decided to have the furnace and air conditioner replaced and everything done correctly rather than trying to make modification to improperly done work installed previously.     

The quoted very reasonable and service provided more than justified cost.  Never met more knowledgeable tradesmen than Mark and his son Ben.  Went the extra mile to ensure EVERYTHING was perfect and done correctly.  Honest, professional, neat, and clean.  Definitely old school values.  They did many extra things not listed in the proposal at no additional cost.  Even went as far as redid some pipes after they installed them because Mark remember I originally had a storage shelf that would not be returned to the same spot because the pipes would be in the way - nothing I asked for or would have expected.  They just go to EVERY extreme to ensure the job is done correctly and customer is totally satisfied.  

As long as they are in business I will never use anyone else.  If you want a job done right, I highly recommend them.  

We use him for the Winter, for the heat and for the air conditioning in the Spring. About six years ago, he put our entire new furnace in and also replaced our air conditioning in the past. He's a little bit on the expensive side, but well worth it. He's dependable.

The technician was knowledgeable, informative and efficient in doing the work. He showed up as scheduled and everything went very well.

I've been using him for almost 20 years. He's always proven to be very honest and forthright. He does good work and I would tell other Angie's List members to definitely hire him.

They replaced a broken piece in the furnace. They had to order the part and they couldn't get it the same night, so they came the very next morning with the piece and fixed it. The furnace is still working.

Conro was called in for a 2nd opinion after we were told that our 20 year old furnace should be replaced. The previous company had replaced the induction motor, but the unit was still not blowing much hot air through the vents. As it turns out, some additional wiring needed to be replaced also. Conro did the wiring work (which made the unit work fine) and he verified that the estimate from the other company was fair. Mr. Conro's company comes off as small but fair and extremely honest. I would definitely use and recommend this company again.

He came early, was polite, and gave a good price. It seems that he works at his hourly fee and the good thing is that he works fast.

We called them over the weekend and left them a voice mail saying that it was not an emergency, so they called us on Monday morning at 8 am. They came out and the one guy did not have the stuff on his on truck, so the owner came out and gave him the stuff. They put it together and then said that the fan doesn’t sound good, so they replaced the fan motor and said that the compressor was going to go in a couple of years, but did not try to sell us a new compressor. They have always responded immediately to us. We haven’t received the bill as yet. We have stuck with them and wouldn’t go to anyone else. They will come out within a couple of hours incase of an emergency.

We have been using him for over ten years now. We like him because he is always willing to learn new techniques and new theories. He has even come out after his working hours. He has been very responsive and very conscientiousness. He is very capable and congenial. We have no problems with him.
