We went into the showroom in St. Charles (which by the way doesn't match the picture in Angie's list) because we saw their vans advertising "Granite for $29.99/sq ft" and there was a single person working in there and I had to say "Hello?" very loudly multiple times to get him to come to front.  We asked them for several quotes and on the process and the individual couldn't answer questions and was very hazy on the details of how long they had been in business and what was involved in the estimate process.
My wife and I then showed up a few weeks later to talk more about the product and see if we could take a few samples home with us to match to cabinets.  The "showroom" which was little more than a vacant shop with pieces of marble glued to the walls wasn't open.  We stopped by multiple times more with the same result (the clocksign on the door says "will return and 12", whatever that means). At that point we became very suspicious and called the company over the course of several days, each time resulting in a "this number has been disconnected or is no longer in service".  Their website http://www.chicagostoneimporters.com/ is still up with the same number listed but no other way to contact beyond their unstaffed office.
Sometimes deals that seem too good... likely are.  The company appears to have gone out of business or relocated with no notice to customers. I'm so glad we weren't overeager to captilize on what appeared to be a great deal, at the risk of losing our money and getting nothing in return.
I'd steer clear of these guys...

First i need to say they have Very Poor comunication.  They were to arrive at 2-4pm.  They showed up at 7 and left at 10:30 pm.  Not happy about that but oh well we got it done.  I was upset because I had to call them to see why they were late.  I had to call them to see why they were late so we were not off to a good start. We purchased two slabs for our countertops that is what we were told to do and the left over they would cut and polish for our three small tables and our kitchen window ledge.  During the installation they broke the slab that met with our cooktop.  so instead of two seams we had 4. They assured us that we would not be able to tell the difference.  We could.  They said after the new year they would come back out to deliver the tabletops and the kitchen ledge.  They did come back out but, the ledge was too long so they caulcked it, thank goodness it was clear caulck.  They brought the tabletops out at that same time and they were not cut right to sit down into the tables so they took them back, saying someone will call us when they are ready.  We have never received a call even after we placed 3 or 4 phone calls.  So the job has not been completed even after 3 months.  They got paid though which is why i am so mad. We still have seams that need to be filled in and polished and have called twice now in one week and no onehas called us back.
