As a gift for 'hosting' me for a week, I gave my sister a gift of service (Angie's List Deal) by Done Just Right Cleaning (DJR), to clean her clothes dryer vent. She had had another service prior to DJR - that service charged twice as much and cleaned only from the dryer to the first few feet of the dryer with a brush. As a result lint piled up along the dryer vent run, which is 40 feet long to the outside and takes two 90 degree turns.
My sister has never before had a service she evaluated with no complaints until DJR - she is extremely detailed & particular. I thought DJR was great - here are my sister's words: "The two men from DJR were wonderful and did a professional, thorough dryer vent cleaning . They did not charge extra to access the outside vent on the second floor and were very reasonably priced. They took the cage off the outside of the second floor vent (that protects against birds) and used a suction hose for much of the 40 ft run. They cleaned from the dryer up into the ceiling ductwork to complete the job. There was significant lint in the dryer vent line. The men told me the other dryer vent service I used should not have used a brush because it can dislodge the ductwork."
My sister will use them again as they knew what they were doing, were tidy, and gave my sister peace of mind that a fire or water damage would not occur. Thank you!

The service was excellent. Dave spent a great deal of time and did a great job cleaning our dryer vent and informed us of the future schedule for cleaning. That day, he also took our rug back to their facility for cleaning for delivery the following Monday. Because we had a huge snow storm on Monday, the rug was not delivered (understandably). I called Done Just Right the following day. They apologized for not having delivered the rug (because of the snowstorm) and delivered it the following day.

They do an excellent job. We have used them in the complex and I've used them personally and so have several other people and we have had no complaints. We are pretty familiar with their work and the people. They have done other jobs for us in here as far as my home is concerned. They stretch carpets and do all kinds of stuff like that. I've always been well satisfied with them and that is why I continue to call them back to find out what they do. They cover a lot of things.

They did a pretty good job on cleaning our vents/air ducts. Except for the fact they kept on complaining that the size of our house was so big and there is so much work to do. However, when I told the scheduling person the size of our house, she never said it was a problem for their crew.
However, one of their crews used our basement bathroom (which we never have problems with) except for the fact that he flooded our toilet because his discharge clogged up our toilet. Instead of informing us of this problem, this crew person decided to clean up the mess by sticking our entire toilet brush into the toilet, which apparently didn't work, because he ended up shutting down our water supply to the toilet instead. We only discovered this mess when we went to use the restroom 2 days later, the floor was messy w/ poop and somewhat wet, the toiler brush had toilet paper and poop stuck on it. We had to clean up the entire bathroom and unclog the toilet.
I called the company the next day to inform them of this incident, they said they would check with their crew, and apologized if it was true. That was the extent of our conversation, they didn't offer any refund or further incentives for me to ever want to use them again or recommend to friends/family in the future....sigh, and I thought they would be better than this since they had such good reviews.

Tech showed up promptly and cleaned the dryer vent. I had called them for just maintenance and not for any specific issues. I was very surprised when he pulled a garbage bag full of dirt and dead birds that were in the vents. He was surprised that we weren't having any issues with the dryer with all the stuff that was in there!

Dave and Mike did an excellent job. They impressed me right away with their reliability when they showed up early for the first visit, and during the second they were running a little late but phoned me at our appointment start time to let me know they would be 10 minutes late. I was so impressed and thankful for this courteous gesture!
I hired them because another duct cleaning company came and did a lousy job. However, Done Just Right Cleaning brought a lot of extremely powerful duct cleaning equipment; not all companies are outfitted to the degree they are. The amount of lint, dust and old bird nest parts they were able to blow out the dryer vent was shocking! Best of all, my dryer works perfectly again.
They did such a good job on the dryer vent, I hired them a second visit to clean all the heat/air ducts and bathroom exhaust. They were efficient, hard working, professional, and cleaned up as they worked. They showed me the dust and debris that came out of the duct work.
On both occasions, they charged me the rate they quoted me over the phone when we scheduled an appointment and never attempted to sell me additional services upon arrival. They might not be the the cheapest business in town, but at least you know you'll get what you pay for.
In summary, the guys at Done Just Right Cleaning were competent and professional. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

Called DNR on 7-21 and they were able to come out the next day to clean a very clogged up dryer vent. Dave arrived even earlier than our originally set appointment time (and called ahead of time to insure that time would work for me) He explained exactly what he was going to do to get the dryer vent cleaned. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the process and took about an hour and 1/2 to do the job. . I would definitely call DNR the next time I need any vent or duct work cleaned.

The cleaning went well. The two guys that came out were good at doing what they needed to do. We didn't have any problems. Everything looks ok and the AC still works.

First of all the gentlemen were very polite and upon entering my home with their equipment they were very cautious to my flooring and other furniture. They were a pleasure to talk to and explained everything they were going to do. This was my first experience with a professional cleaning service. I always did it myself but after seeing how well it was done and how clean it now is I am going to have this service done every year. This was worth every penny. -The air duct cleaning meant bringing in a piece of equipment that was the size of a steamer trunk, and taking it to the basement, where the furnace is located. We took the door to the basement stairs off of its hinges, to make access to the basement easier. The air duct cleaning went well--to our knowledge.
-The carpet cleaning involved a large piece of machinery in a truck parked outside of our condo. From there hoses ran into the house to do the cleaning.
-The first price quote we had for the carpet cleaning was 35 cents per square foot, for 750 square feet of carpet. Our carpet area is actually bigger than that. I estimated 1400 square feet & then had a quote from their office of 30 cents per square foot. The people who did the work measured 1200 square feet and the invoice that we paid was calculated at 35 cents per square foot. When we realized the discrepancy, they made a correction and sent us a refund check.
-For reasons that I won't elaborate, we had one bedroom's carpet recleaned. This was done by a different vendor, who has a portable machine and who charges 20 cents per square foot. The water that his machine extracted from the recleaned carpet was noticeably dirty. He had an explanation for this, based on the difference between his machine and truck-mounted cleaners. He also had more success in cleaning at the edges of the carpet in the hallway and living room, where it meets the wall.

David and his associate arrived on time. They both assessed the scope of the job and clearly explained the details in laymen's terms. Both then went about their jobs in a timely and courteous manner. It was very positive. It was extenuating circumstances on the dryer vent cleaning. I knew it would cost this much upfront. It was because of the location. It was on a fourth floor condo with an elevator and it was more difficult to get to.

They were good. I had deal with them personally as it was in our rental house but they came out, did a nice job and the tenants were happy. So the overall experience was good.

They were very professional. They did the work what they were suppose to do in a very friendly and professional manner. There was no extra services selling. They cleaned up after them very thoroughly. Overall a very good experience and would recommend and use them again. Still wish they would lower their price or give some discounts to returning customers at a minimum.
