I ;had met Tom H. when he gutted and rehabbed a bungalow next door into a beautiful, spacious two story with three bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, an office/4th bedroom. It was beautiful, with high-end finishes and appliances/fixtures. He actually was referred to them by the contractor who gutted and restored my bungalow's LR, DR, and entrance hall to its origiinal beauty in 2003, but was no longer working in Chicago proper. My house looks as good as it did in 2003 and no problems ever. Anyhow, Bogdan knew Tom and said his work was even higher caliber than his own carpentry.
So Crest/Tom gave me an estimate somewhat lower than end cost by 2 thousand or so, but that was because I wanted more trendy and upscale materials once I started looking and pricing. ! spent 3X as much for my gorgeous recycled glass vanity top and beveled mirror surrounded by opaque colored 1 inch glass tiles in shades of all the porcelain floor and wall tile. It is so much more expensive to go green on some items!
Just giving dos and don'ts can't possibly demonstrate my satisfaction with the two rooms and hopefully we will gut my kitchen and den next spring.
I chose the Toto elevated toilet Tom showed me at the show room and absolutely love it . One day I may treat myself to the paperless, hands-free cleansing Toto seat ... Added a Jacuzzi whirlpool tub, beautiful vaniity with self closing drawers and a matching cabinet over the toilet with a very and quot;cooland quot;, modern and beautiful light fixture over the very large mirror. The bathroom is three years old now and I still smile every time I walk in there and guests continue to talk about it. They also installed ADA safety bars for the future and that adds a feeling of security for everyone getting in and out of the shower/tub. I am so thrilled with it.
The tile work was so precisely done, and installed so the pattern coloration couldn't have matched any better. They organized sections before placing on walls and floor. It makes such a difference when they are all up or down on the floor. I just saw a bathroom with similar style tiles and they just took the next one out of the box and there is a huge cluster of dark grey on one of the walls that is and quot;off.and quot; My friend was very disappointed with that imbalance and her contractor.
.Just like Tom, Crest Interior employees were/are on time, neat, very talented in each of their trades, and professional. They minimized any disruption to my daily life as much as humanly possible. The employes showed up every day they were expected (allowing for delay in deliveries) and stayed long days, cleaning up every end of day. The founder of Crest Interior is meticulous, (he might say and quot;perfectionistand quot;) honest, and has a superior work ethic. Everywhere we went to select materials, he was treated with respect and I was told many times how fortunate I was to have hired him to do my remodeling. His time management, skills are a particular strength: ontime scheduling, workday starts, or having a meeting with you. It is such an important part of who he is and how Crest Interior functions on a daily basis..
Any change in pricing was explained and I could choose the upgrade or keep original estimate. The motto of this company's founder is do it right the first time, period. Make your customer happy and satisfied. I almost hesitated writing this review, just like parents don't like to talk about their wonderful babysitters!
The founder of Crest Interior, Tom/Tomasz, is cultured, multi-talented and gifted in his design and craftsmanship, and always a well-mannered, polite gentleman, professionally and personally. The contractors who work for him, or with him, know his standards and are expected to demonstrate his values and workmanship always. I recommend Crest Interior without the slightest reservation.
