Bob Marino

I saw him two or three weeks ago. He did fine, but we decided to go in a different direction. He is a veteran and knows what he is talking about. He is fully qualified and educated to serve people, including senior citizens. He can go into the city or out in the suburbs and feel comfortable with helping us get a home or helping us sell our home. He did not charge us anything. He was here right on the dot and knows what he is taking about. He did not mince words and understood all the nuances of buying and selling a house.

I was recommended to Bob Marino's Remax from a family member who had dealt with him in the past. He's been in business for about 30 years; he is not doing this as a hobby or sideline. Though Bob's office is in the suburbs (where I used to live) I was very pleased by his knowledge of city neighborhoods, where I was moving. I told Bob my price range and he did not try to talk me higher, which has happened to me in the past with another realtor. I was pleased by his knowledge of short sales and foreclosures (I bought a foreclosure). He steered me away from things that looked shady, though they might have looked good on paper. There were a few times when we went to buildings and as soon as we pulled up, he was like "Jerry, I don't want to put you in this situation, what's going on here". I felt like he was looking out for my best interest. Here is a guy who knows how to make the customer happy before, during and after the transaction. Isn't that so basic? I guess if everyone did that, there'd be no need for Angie's List. Bob is friendly, detail oriented, very experienced, very professional, gregarious, prompt and generally a nice person. He knows a lot of guys who can do various home services and repairs. The only thing I would not recommend is his contact for hardwood floor refinishing; not so great.
